Every so often I look at the Sig 230s on GB. Owned an alloy frame one a long time ago. Always thought they were better pistols than the saintly Walthers. Followed some on GB, and picked up a nice 230SL with two factory mags. Told my friend, who has been one of Sig's LE Armorer trainers for a long time, and he mentioned he knew of a dealer that had a bunch of police trade-ins, at very low prices. So of course I had to reach out, and picked up a 232SL trade in, cheap. Was watching a couple on GB again just to track the prices, and saw a really nice 230SL, box/test target/manual/two factory mags. Not many bids on it, and I threw out a bid near the end of the auction, expecting the other guy to bump it but not feeling too bad. And gosh darn, didn't I win that too! A fellow forum member here responded to my WTB factory magazine post, so now I have a good supply of factory zipper back mags. Be careful what you wish for, I guess. When it rains it pours, but in a good way this time. Congrats! Never owned a P230, but some of the stainless ones certainly make me drool. (My real name's Bill. I was feeling paranoid when I signed up:-) | |||
