Langdon Tactical vs Wilson Combat for upgrading/tuning a Beretta 92 ?
So what's your experience between Wilson Combat and Langdon Tactical for tuning and upgrading the Beretta 92 ?

For either one I would send it to the company for their own people to work on it, UNLESS Wilson would only install their own aftermarket parts without any custom hand tuning, but I don't know what Wilson would do along these lines, compared to Landon who most certainly would.

One of the things I'd like solved is the shortness of my trigger finger, which isn't long enough to reach the 92 trigger face in an optimal manner. So if one or the other company would do a better job, that might tip the decision. I think Wilson sells their own reduced-reach trigger for the 92, but if Landon can do this as well I would want to know that, or if Landon would just fit the Wilson part himself, if he didn't also offer a shorter reach trigger. I just don't know.

What is your experience with these guys, particularly for the 92, or your take on the subject either way.

I have two Wilson guns that I love but at the end of the day Langdon is THE Beretta 92 guy.

LTT everyday and even on Sunday. Yes, I had both. Wilson can diversify, but he will always be the 1911 guy. Ernest is Mr. Beretta.

What Q and Chris just said. Ernest is the man when it comes to the Beretta, period.

Ernest Langdon for the win! Wink

LTT sells the Wilson Combat Short Reach Trigger --> https://langdontactical.com/wi...reach-steel-trigger/

And I'd bet they'd install it if you were having other work done. It is supposed to be a drop in part, but I'm sure they'd fit it assuming it was a needed service to perfect the trigger job.

For the record, the Beretta 92/M9 isn't all that hard to work on. I've got a Beretta 'Langdon Special' M9 that I installed an LTT 'Trigger Job in a Bag', along with a small pile of other enhanced drop-in parts (NOT the WC Short Reach trigger though...I don't do short reach triggers!) and I wasn't hard at all. I'm EXTREMELY pleased with the action on my modded M9 and can't imagine it being significantly better if I had sent it out to LTT for that work. YMMV

Owning an LTT Beretta PX4, it's Langdon for the win everyday of the week and twice on Sunday!

Both great companies, but LTT is the Beretta expert (IMHO). I've installed parts from both myself, and it is fairly easy work (recommended); but, if I were to send one out for the work, it would be to LTT. The only downside is I've heard their turnaround time is very long.

I have a sleeper M9 that I did with Langdon parts, it’s night and day difference, whenever I have somebody shoot it the 1st thing they ask is what I did to it

A couple of years ago, I was jonesing for a nice Beretta 92 (decided not to buy) and the only website I was scoping out was Langdon Tactical, nowhere else.

I don’t have a Langdon tactical 92 but I do have one of his Zberetta collaborations plus a Langdon pX4 compact carry and have been nothing but happy with both. I have no experience with Wilson’s 92 but I’m sold on Langdon stuff.

I don't have a Beretta but do have a Sig P220ST that Ernie did years ago.
Ernie will always be my go to if I have a choice.

I gifted my son a 92 from LTT to commemorate the birth of his 11st son. It IS a sweet shooter.

I never cared for the 92 until I bought a LTT. It has the trigger kit in a bag installed and it is fantastic! The thin grips if nothing else, are a must have 92 upgrade.

The grips on the Langdon Special M9 are what changed my mind on the platform! I have a 92fs that I bought years earlier that I put custom wood grips on, but never shot because the gun felt too big in my hands. The ultra thin G10 Grips completely change the feel of these guns, and now the Inox (above) is one of my favorite shooters

Well you're better than me. I've worked on my gp100, my 92, and some others, but I sent my p220 to Grayguns, and for myself at least, there's NO substitute or comparison for paying for that level of expertise. I imagine that's true for more of us than one might otherwise expect. Enhancing and tuning is fun and yields helpful results, but for special guns that just work for you, giving it to an expert is worth the coin.
