Anybody here own one of these things? I bought one for 50 bucks just to look inside the thing and see what it's about. Waiting on an e-clip for the slide lock and then it goes to the range. What a beautiful piece of machining. ********************** 53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Yes, & several 22 & 32 versions. The 380 Model 70 was my first semi-auto pistol. $50 was a steal if it works. __________________________________________________ If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit! Sigs Owned - A Bunch

$50 was a hell of a steal. I sold one a few years ago for $450. Original box, 3 OEM magazines, IB and cleaning kit. A beautiful piece of Italian workmanship which was too nice to carry. (IMO) I called Beretta parts when I needed a firing pin for a Tomcat and asked the parts guy if they ever considered producing the model 70 again. He replied no, but said they do get requests for the model 70. ********* "Some people are alive today because it's against the law to kill them".

I can't find anyone who has a bad word to say about these pistols. Except for the plastic grips. Worse that I'm a Southpaw. Well, and except for the price of spare mags. We need Mec-Gar to come to the rescue! Hopefully I'll get the e clip and the thing to the range next week and photo it. It's nice. ********************** 53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Yes. I looked hard at the .22 with fake silencer (which I would have removed) but the lack of magazines was a spoiler.

PGT - where did you get the Beretta logo’d walnut grips? They are nice! Bob Carpe Scrotum

They were from KSD in Turkey. I have a set from the seller with red backgrounds on my 71 and they're varnished and look like plastic in person. I stripped them and refinished and they look nicer but are not the same quality as the KSD's. Sadly, it seems like KSD is on/off again when it comes to selling to the US.

Triple K. Or purchase them from Italy. From Italy, however, the important distinction of Berben and the other one is blurred. So some reasonable knowledge of Italian is warranted. If by the Triple K route, when you get them, smother them in BreakFree CLP. Let air dry for three (3) days and then wipe off the excess. Install a +5% Wolff spring. You should have no problems. *************************** Knowing more by accident than on purpose.

Whoa there big fella!!! You are the first I've heard who has used Triple K's successfully! Does that system actually work? And what outfit in Italy has magazines? Gotta link? You can't leave that hangin out there without elaboration!! LOL. ********************** 53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Local shop had a rough looking .32 and a .380 with no magazine. Would be nice to go with my surplus .22. Not really a fan of Beretta, but the 70 guns are really neat.

I have twelve (12) mags for my Beretta 70/7.65. Two of them are Triple K. The others are OEM. The Triple Ks were treated exactly as posted. No issues. Most of the OEM were purchased from Italy. http://www.armiusate.it/cerca/...tta+70/categoria,121 No issues. *************************** Knowing more by accident than on purpose.

triple K's are known to work on the 22LR versions but like all things Triple K, YMMV

Ciao, 3/4Flap. Contrary to popular opinions, Italians are great communicators. Some say too loudly. But it is a sign of respect, there and almost everywhere, that if you start an inquiry with them that you try to communicate with them in their own language. If not familiar with it, you will be surprised when they notice your "unfamiliarity" with their tongue that they will switch, if known, into your language. In time, trust will be built and contacts reinforced. It all requires patience. And tact. For instance, a communist flatly refused to sell me his stock. But he was amenable to providing leads. He just wouldn't ship to CONUS. Of course, it also helps if you're part-Italian. Ciao. *************************** Knowing more by accident than on purpose.

Thanks very much for all the insight!! And by the way, I grew up in an Italian neighborhood. I "speak" pretty good Italian but you have to see my hands to hear it!! ********************** 53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.
