Well the old fart continues to join the 21st century moving from 1911's with open sights to striker fired pistols with red dots. Made it out to the range again with my Romeo X Enclosed red dot mounted on my P365 Legion. Last week I did an initial sight in and then sighted it in with my intended carry ammo, Federal 147gr HST Law Enforcement.

Tonight did shot an additional 200 rounds to verify sight in and get more comfortable with the set up. Sight in is still good. The pistol and sight point naturally for me, I'm not having to, "Find the dot" on presentation. As I said in m previous post co-witnessing really isn't practical, only abut the top 1/2 to 1/3 of the standard height sights are visible above the deck of the optic.

Shooting this gun and this combo seems to be way too easy. Recoil is light and the gun is quick to return to target. The old fart may be getting over his attitude of .45 makes bigger holes when a gun the same size holds twice as many hole punchers.

Final target of the night, full magazine of 17 rounds at 25 yards.

That’s great shooting, friend! Eyesight once you hit your 40’s is no joke. Red dots help a lot. I have pistols with red dots and iron sights that I try to practice with to be comfortable on either.

Are you shooting the Romeo X or the Romeo X Compact? I think either works on the 365 so I’m not sure. I ask because I was pondering the Romeo X Compact for my Glock 48. Nice shooting either way.

Nice shooting!

Just got notified that mine is on its way back from getting milled in Florida to my house in Indiana. And when I checked the tracking, I saw that the stupid USPS sent it to California Mad. I contacted the guy who did the milling to confirm that he put the right address on it and got me the correct tracking info....he did. So the USPS has either royally effed up my shipment, or is sending it the long way around. After some USPS employee stole my first slide, this whole process is really starting to give me heartburn Frown.
