Forgot to say that 4 months ago at the same LGS I bought a used 9mm 226 Legion with the box and 3 mags for $499.00 . Love shooting that one .

That is a suspiciously low price for a P239 I'd be leery there was an issue with it or something to be honest. If something is too good to be true...it usually is.

Hard to picture an LGS pricing a 239 that low. I have to wonder how much they had in it?

Last weekend I picked up a P239 9mm in almost pristine condition with two mags, no box for $550. Picked up a P226 CPO in .40 S&W from the same guy the weekend prior for $600. It is in excellent condition with emperor scorpion grips, 357 Sig barrel, 300 target rounds of 357, 50 rounds of 40 target and 30 of Critical Defense. I couldn't jump on that deal fast enough. I'd probably pay that much for a broken one... replacement parts are out there... in fact I think I have all of them. My Native American Name: "Runs with Scissors"

Buy immediately, assuming the pistol isn’t damaged in some way. Heck I already have a P239 that I don’t even shoot all that often and I’d still probably buy that out of principle.

I'd buy it if it was beat all to hell and didn't fire.... but then I'm not just a p239 nut and have taken one down completely and put back together (and the damn thing still fired!) but a year or so ago made a deal with a fellow member that included lots of springs and extra parts for one. The owner of that store is probably one of those Glock fans. My Native American Name: "Runs with Scissors"

Very good price, the lowest I've paid was 300 for a two tone .40, great pistol and my EDC.

Do---or do not. There is no try. |
One extremely good reason to have a P239 in .40 or .357 Sig (I have both barrels and mags for both calibers) is that in the unlikely event I travel through magazine capacity-restricted areas (such as New Jersey and NYC), carrying my P365 is out, even under LEOSA. My P239 complies with those state laws.
