P239 Question
I saw at a LGS a P239 in nice condition with the box and 3 mags for $240.00. Were these good guns ? I know that they’re not made anymore so spare parts might not be available.
Thanks in advance.

Yep, my 239 in .40 is my carry gun. Its a single stack. $240 seems like a steal, especially with 3 mags.

Good grief, man, buy it! I sold my last 239 for 865 dollars. It was a Rainbow version, though.

tell me the gun shop, if it's anywhere near Tampa I'll send a friend to pick it up for me.... that is way too good a deal... snatch it up and if nothing else then sell it to a member here.

Helluva deal. If you want a P239, ain't gonna get any cheaper. What caliber is it?

As for the P239 itself, it's a very good carry gun. Disappears with my Sparks VM-2 holster. Mine shoots as well as my P226 and P229. While the classic P-series guns are tanks, the P239 is a mini-tank. Just as rugged, reliable and accurate.

Mine is a .40, but I also have a Sig OEM 9mm barrel which works just fine in it.

That's super cheap.
Last few I've seen on the shelf were $600+

A 239 is a great pistol. I carried one so much that it wore the finish off the slide. They shoot like a target pistol. 9mm, 40 S&W, 357Sig, won't matter, it will be a great pistol.

3 mags for $240 seems about right in this economy.

So how much was the 239? Big Grin

At that price, it wouldn't matter to me what caliber the P239 was. My plastic would have been shoved into the salesman's hand so fast he would have thought it a magic trick.

Jeezus.... give them 400 so you don't feel like you committed a crime, take the gun and walk.

Funny you say that. I did just that. A guy at worked needed some quick cash so he wanted to sell me his 239 for 300 hundred. I felt so bad about it I gave him four.

Tending to think if you have to ask if the P239 is a good buy at $240 you really don't deserve to own it.

I passed and so my friend bought it . I’m up to my eyeballs in 9mm pistols so if I would of bought it it would get one range trip and then to the safe to be forgotten. A good buy but I just didn’t need it or want it .
