Hello All, I have a P320 Full with the factory [basic] small grip frame. The small is DEFINITELY right for me, but the grip frame digs into the side of my middle finger when gripping it. I am in California and just had a chance to feel the 320 X-Full grip frame. I don't like the squared off nature of it, as my small hands prefer the slightly slimmer feel of my existing grip frame. However, I LOVED the way they radiused the edges under the mag catch so that the grip frame doesn't dig into the middle finger. I also really liked the higher relief cut in the top of the backstrap area, as it curved out into a beavertail-type ending. [And I appreciated the larger beavertail]. I debating ordering a new grip frame, but decided to experiment a bit first. I got my tools out and re-contoured the areas under the mag catch/release on the grip frame to mimic the relief cut on the X-Full grip frame. And it now feels GREAT! However, I got to thinking about if I had significantly weakened the gripframe, as I don't know how much plastic was there to allow removal ant recontour the edges while providing a bit of an upward relief cut as well. It doesnt' feel like it will break through at any time. Do any of you know if I may have removed too much? Also, is there enough material in the upper part of the backstrap to do a relief cut there to allow a higher grip on the pistol? These are the only things the X-Full has that I like more than my setup. Thanks for sharing your opinions. Sigs and Non-Sigs: I enjoy having options!

Kinda hard to say for sure without seeing photos of what you actually did, but I'd say if you grab it and twist it in your hand and it doesn't break in half, and if you haven't opened up the mag catch channel to the elements, you're probably ok. Good news is that if you did overdo it a new grip module is pretty inexpensive and simple to replace. Like you, I dislike the squared off shape of the X-grips. I also don't like that they lack the "fence" around the slide catch, and I've seen people accidentally engage it under recoil as a result. Those relief cuts below the trigger guard and under the beavertail are indeed pretty nice, though...maybe I ought to give modifying one a shot.
