I built this place. There are no "code" issues. This forum is precisely as I wish for it to be.

We do not host photos for members because this would result in far greater use of bandwidth, which costs money. This forum is privately funded. Notice the complete lack of ads. A very clean appearance to the pages, wouldn't you say?

When clueless FNGs come along and insult this place and declare us to belong to the Paleolithic Age without understanding what we're about, I take exception to it.

What's particularly laughable is when you tell me about how adults who realize they've made mistakes apologize. Recently, a member observed that they have never seen any forum owner or administrator publicly apologize for wrongly admonishing a member, or for making other types of mistakes. However, as he pointed out, there is one exception, and that's this forum. The member who made this observation speculated that forum leadership doesn't own up when they're wrong, because they thing it makes them look weak to do so, when, in fact, the opposite is true.

This forum has a loyal following. They are proud of this little corner of the internet, and many have declared this forum to be unique in nature. I tend to agree with them.

There is a short list of things I will not tolerate on the pages of this forum:

I'm not inclined to entertain conspiracy theories and have almost no tolerance for such foolishness, though this is not to say that there are not conspiracies of all kinds in this world.

I despise defeatists, who surrender before battles are completed. I don't wish to be associated with such people, or be in their presence.

There are other things I can list, but one thing which is non-negotiable is criticism of this forum and the members of this forum as a group.

Everything you see here is exactly as it should be. Over the years, we have made changes which are essentially organic in nature; forum policies and posting practices and allowable content. Because I take great care to get it right, I refuse to listen to the wailing of neophytes, and right now, man, that is you.

I suppose it might even be understandable that you thought nothing of your remarks, because these days, the actual owners of forums (fora?) such as this are nowhere to be found on their pages. Here, however, it is different, and that can be said of much about SIGforum.

I don't know how you were raised, but I was taught that you do not come into a man's house and issue insults, and if you don't see how that applies here, it's your problem alone.
