Where to find a S&W 622 Extractor?
Hello, I have been on the hunt for an extractor for a Smith & Wesson 622 for months. I have looked to Brownells, Midway, Numrich, Jack First, and Guns N Parts to no avail. Is there another place I should look?

Thank you in advance.

Have you gone to the S&W factory itself? It seems like you hit the common sites for parts. If for some reason the factory can’t help, maybe they can provide a lead.

There should be an option to make or modify a part if it comes to it.

If no luck on a spare, the part looks simple enough to have a gunsmith or, yourself create.

The extractor is the only weakness of the design.

I love my 2206, seems the cartridge case acts like a piston and ejects extracts itself... If I get a misfire, I sometimes need a pen-knife.

If you find a source, please post., I've toyed with a replacement for a number of years.

S&W was the first step I took, I forgot to mention it in the OP. They have no extractors. I will get on wish lists and hope one comes up.

Thanks for the help. Smile

Close, but unfortunately not. That is for the S&W model 61 Escort and the "tail" of that extractor is too short. I appreciate the help, though.

I may have found a solution locally... a friend of a friend may have a parts gun.

You could try http://www.gunsnparts.com in West Springfield MA. They don't list their inventory online, so you would have two call or email them to ask if they have an extractor.
