I recently found and bought a 365. Looking forward to some range time this week to see how it fares.

Obviously the reliability of the 365 has some question marks, but the size advantage is incredible. Shield and 365 are both mine. Photographed on exact same X-Y ruler setup for overlay re-scaling. G43 was photographed on an X-Y ruler and scaled from a gun I do not own and could not photograph in the exact same position, so there is a small margin for error that I cannot correct for.

Wow, those shots are excellent! Pretty significant differences considering the capacity of each. If you didn't know better, you'd think the capacity numbers were reversed.

RE: 9 MM Shield 2.0

Bought one following glowing reviews.
Trigger was OK, but still a little heavy & gritty.

In my hands, it shot consistantly low/left.
Added a Hogue Rubber Grip sleeve, nice additon to the smallish grip.

Added Apex Trigger System, but experienced numerous Failure to Fires, Mt 'Smith needed to retweek it a few times to get it 100% reliable.

Had S&W change sights for better accuracy.
But Replacement front tritium tube fell out a few weeks later and it took S&W almost 3 months to ship a replacement.

Finally got a new set of Trijicons in the meantime, local 'Smith got them installed cleanly and centered perfectly.

After 5 months of ownership, it's now 100% reliable (I HOPE), fires whatever I feed it where it's aimed and has a trigger system that's clean and crisp.

It took time, but now it's up to my needs and expectations.

From my experience, it's rare to get a gun straight out of the box that's everything you want it to be.
"Teething Pains" are part of the experience, and Yes...some makers ship products without extensive, long term testing.
It's how they handle issues that's the real measure of a companys' quality and integrity.

BTW:
I also got an H&K P30SK for CCW, complete with ambi-safties and a de-cocker latch.

It's a bit more pricey..but so far outta 'da box, it's 100% reliable and nothings fallen off.
And for a little more mag length...it's got factory 15 round mags. Hope it's never needed, but it's there.

Still, for ease of shooting, the Shield/Apex trigger is a vast improvement over stock and makes it must easier to enjoy come range-time.
