You new owners, is the grip still beefy like the G19’s? Yes, the angle looks a bit less severe and the hump is thankfully missing, but the grip looks like it is chunkier than necessary. Maybe a smaller module is forthcoming from Magpul, or somebody else, but curious about this one. Unable to get to a store to see for myself till later in the month

YooperSigsTo me, the grip "felt" smaller due to the shape of the grip and no finger bumps. And the mag well is much better on the Ruger. I have not done any actual grip size comparisons between the G19 and the RXM, but since both accommodate plastic Glock mags, I would guess there is very little actual size difference.

L90814I made it to the range today to test the Glock 23 .40 slide and barrel. It worked flawlessly. My trip was cut short, as the RXM wouldn't fully chamber the 9mm reloads I brought, which were coated lead and sized at .357. I suspected that those would not chamber. They work well in my P320 and Beretta 92.

andronicusI picked mine up today at Sportsman's Warehouse near Harrisburg, PA. Priced at 419.99, out the door with tax for $450. I very much like the feel of the grip. Thought I wouldn't like the sights, but they are fine. I have to wait to try it out but I'm betting this is a winner. Ruger is going to sell a ton of them.

sigarms229My brother picked one up recently and I finally got to fondle it today. I'm impressed. I was worried about the raised height sights but they are fine.
He's had it to the range and said he was impressed. He also has a G19 and a PSA Dagger and said he would pick the Ruger over the other two.
I'll have a range report in a few days.

sigarms229I was able to put 75 rounds of Blazer Brass through it today and it ran just fine. No target pics as I was shooting falling steel plates.
Overall I was impressed with it and will add one to my collection sometime soon.

triaxleI picked one up the week they came out , I liked what they did from the get go when I read and saw it , I did get another black grip mod , and picked up 6 more new Magpul mags , fried maybe 300 rds so far 115 gr and 124 , no problems at all , takes all my Glk mags and fits my Desantis black leather open top holster and Galco thumb break for my 19 m gun perfect. I hope to see a G/26 size frame , they have a winner with this one . I luv the older Ruger stuff never a problem !!!!

92fstechGot to handle one today, and no huge surprise it felt like a Glock. The grip is well made and I like the flared magwell, but it didn't seem to be fundamentally different than a Glock grip in my hand, and didn't seem to point much differently. Trigger felt like a Glock...nothing earth shattering there.
The sights were very nice...a huge improvement over the factory Glock ones.
If I needed a gun that size I'd probably give it a try, but I don't. We'll see what options they come out with in the future...if they cover a niche that I need I may grab one.

12131^^^ Thank God I've been twiddling my thumbs, because they're finally out of stock. But, at $360, I might not be able to resist it the next time around.

P250UA5If Academy, or one of their price match options gets down there, I'll be mightily tempted to try one.

andronicusI would love to know what the Blue Label Law Enforcement pricing on these is going to be. I bet a lot of these wind up in police holsters.

Ruger’s IOP’s I have seen generally run about 30% off MSRP.

jljonesPicked one up today for $350 at the LGS.
Whoever said that the guns came with a 3 pound trigger needs to calibrate their gauge. It’s closer to 6 or 7 and more of a true DAO.
275 rounds down range and it is a Gen3 Glock. But, I think it has to be the best clone for the money.

I got one yesterday as well. Trigger quality seems to be all over the place. Guntubers and others online reported sub-4 lb trigger pulls. Mine is crummy. Take-up is full of grit, and the weight feels like what you get when installing a plus "+" connector. IOW, mine feels along the lines of 8 lbs.
It doesn't bother me much, b/c I had planned on doing a polish job or changing out the trigger altogether.

parabellumGlock triggers are like snowflakes. No two are exactly alike. Have you ever examined the end of the trigger bar that contacts the tang of the striker? Look at a few of them under magnification and you'll get the idea.
Makes the guns snobs want to plotz!

D_SteveI have a couple Glocks that have a PolyDAT trigger installed with the PolyDAT -connector. They removed much of that snowflake effect. If I read right should work well in the Ruger, but ruin that under $400 bargain price.

parabellumLess expensive solutions should be tried first, and that means the Glock 25 cent trigger job- the polishing of contact points in the trigger mechanism and then seeking out the specific cause of any remaining friction.
In the case of a DAO-feeling break, I'd be inclined to try out different connectors. An OEM "+" connector would give the pull more of a wall and if the connector and contact point of the trigger bar were given a mirror polish, the trigger might even end up
feeling a touch lighter, though a trigger pull gauge would probably dispute this perception. I'm not a fan of altering the weight of the striker spring.

RB211Fondled one today at my friends shop, somehow it followed me home.... Hopefully I will get to the range this weekend and wring it out a bit.
