What was your first SIG and when?
P220 - purchased early 2001.

Found one for the right price, right place/time kinda deal - traded a two-tone Ruger P90 and some cash for it.

Nov 2007, P250 compact in 40, LGS had it's November sale and had a Sig rep with lots of offerings and the P250 was just becoming available and selling fast.

It developed issues and wouldn't run properly, to the point of locking back on every round, stuck it in the box and safe and forgot about it. Finally several years later sent it to Sig and they fixed it, but still couldn't trust it so traded it, after validating it worked.

Several more years passed and found a P250 sub compact in the used gun case for $200, snapped it up asap... Still like the P250 concept...

I started a little late, about 7 years ago, wanted a .40 but it had to have a hammer, local GS was on gunbroker with penny auctions. I wound up getting a new 226 in .40 at a very low used gun price, the owner wasn't too happy.

1st sig was a German sig 226 in early 2000s. Foolishly sold it, would love to find another one.

Spring 2004 - Sig SP2309. Bought it a couple months before the AWB expired for $425. Loved the sights and it had a fantastic trigger, but I sold it to someone on Sigforum because my pinky finger was constantly being pinched and I started to develop trigger sting whenever I shot the gun. It’s the only Sig I ever had with that problem.

First one was a West German P225, purchased used at my favorite LGS back in the late 1980's. No longer have that one but do have an equivalent replacement that I refuse to part with!

A P229R in .40S&W I bought new in 2009. I only kept it for a few months because I didn't want the rails and found a very lightly used 2004 P229 in the Classifieds here.

SP2022 around 2005 or so. Still have it and still enjoy shooting it.

It was purchased from a FFL buddy of mine based on his recommendation. He obviously lit my fuse because I now own a total of 11 different Sigs including that first SP2022.

West German P226 9mm, 1991. Wish I hadn’t sold it. But a LT gave me full price and then some for the extra mags and ammo can of ammo.

sig P6 1980 in 2008. Traded back to gun shop for USP 40. Which was traded back to same gun shop for P2000sk in 357 sig. Should have never traded back that P6! But love my P2000sk! Now have P220, P245, P229-9, P229-357.

Love my Sigs but carry my Glocks

Mine was just shy of two months ago, an excellent condition, marked-through W. German P220 from a fellow forum member. Finally taking it out for the first time tomorrow (life’s been crazy). I sold an optic and grabbed a P226R w/ Exeter, NH short extractor slide and German frame (also on it’s first trip tomorrow). What can I say? I usually jump in over my head, LOL. The 226R currently has E2 grips, but those will likely be going away, I prefer the older style grips it also came with, just gotta source a set of grip screws for them. Next is gonna be an M11-A1 or a P228, not positive yet on which I’ll go with first…

All stainless steel Sig P230.... was trying to buy a handgun for my wife to use in an upcoming women's only handgun class.... (I learned not to do this)
At the same gun show I also bought a Walther PPK...
(I learned from this too)

that Sig P230 is still one of the finest pistols I own.

On a snowy day in early 1985 at a gun shop outside of Fort Knox, KY. I traded a used Browning Hi Power I got in college for a new P226, serial number U117184. First one I had ever handled. We had some good times together over the next few years.

P220 in 1998. On my 21st birthday. It was my only Sig until 2009 when I picked up a used p229. Now I have 27. All P series plus 2 1911's.
