Just received this little gem from a friend, we made a swap. He bought it in 2020, put about 1000 trouble free rounds through it. All the goodies, not a mark on it. The sight system is polarizing. Some think it's great, others hate it. A good friend got rid of his in favor of a Hellcat. I wanted something lighter than my G27 for CC. This model does not have the ported barrel. Ordered an OWB holster for it. When it arrives I'll be practicing drawing. The fiber optic sights will take some getting used to for sure. The snag free concept is interesting. What are your experiences????

Welcome to the 365 world! The SAS was accurate enough for 5 to 7 yards and will get you center of mass hits. I know it was the sighting system since I purchased only the SAS slide for my existing 365 and would swap slides. Ultimately I bought a plate for my SAS and replaced the meprolights with a Romeo red dot. 8x11 piece of paper at 7 yards was ok, but I wanted a little more precision and got it with the red dot. I think you will have a lot of fun, and being able to customize it as you see fit is the best part!

Yes, they should never have ported it in the first place. It was just stupid. Q

I have the old ported one. The sights are great, that's not my issue. That stupid take down slotted thing sucks! I had a gunsmith re-assemble mine after I cleaned it. I no longer disassemble mine, I lock the slide back, tie the trigger guard to a rack in the garage, and spray the guts with a crud cutting chemical safe for plastic. One it dries, I spray it again with Eezox, wipe it down and it's good to go. I may post it in the classified as I am now carrying either a Hellcat or a 365 XL.

What was your problem reassembling it? Mine goes back together relatively easy. ____________________________ NRA Life Member, MGO Annual Member

I bought a SAS version last month and traded it in for a P365 X with a Romeo. I like the optic better than the green dot in the slide set up. I also have the standard model that I like as well. ![]() NRA Life Member

It USUALLY goes back together easily. Twice I've had the takedown "lever" stick in a position that prevents reassembly. My wife and I both spent over an hour working on the thing the last time. The slot just would not move far enough for the thing to work. The smith took forty five minutes and cussed a lot. Said he's had to do it several times.

Sorry to hear that, I wonder if a call to Sigs customer service would offer a solution. ____________________________ NRA Life Member, MGO Annual Member

Welcome to the 365 club! Being snag free, I find the SAS to be a great pocket gun. Be careful, 365s have a way of multiplying :-) Regards, Waco Learning from my mistakes since 1974...

I never got comfortable with the sight picture on my SAS so i just aim along the top of the slide or point shoot. OK for those times I have to pocket carry in a DeSantis Nemesis. I carry a regular P365 with 12 rd. mags in summer 4:00 in a Blackpoint Mini Wings IWB. MUCH prefer that setup. Conserve Liberty, and the right of self-determination.
