I've carried a P365X off duty for about 6 years now, and I'm a fan. I took advantage of some recent deals to upgrade my P365X and add a second P365, ending up with a pair of P365s: a larger P365 XMacro and a smaller P365X.

My existing P365X was an original P365, with no optic cut, to which I had added a Wilson Combat XL grip to turn it into a P365X to fit my monkey paws. Using Academy Sports' recent stacking 10%+15% discount, I purchased a new P365 at a good deal ($407 OTD), swapped the new optic cut complete slide onto my P365X, and then sold off the older non-optic slide and the new short grip module and 10 round magazines for $250.

That left me with a now optic-ready P365X with factory fresh night sights too, plus a spare FCU, costing me only $157 for both. (A new P365 FCU alone will run you ~$350 plus shipping and transfer fee online.)

Oh, and I got a free Foxtrot EDC Compact flashlight too, thanks Sig's their current promo for a free flashlight with every new Sig pistol purchase.

Next, I hunted around online for classifieds deals and July 4th sales to turn this spare FCU into a full gun in the larger XMacro format.

Starting with the new FCU that cost me $157 total after the dust settled, this is what I added:
Unused Shalotek EDC XL slide and barrel: $175
New factory slide completion kit: $70
New factory XL recoil spring: $40
New Angry Bear Arms serrated sights: $55
New Wilson Combat XMacro grip: $56
Unused Tyrant Intellifire trigger: $75
Unused 4x 17 round factory XMacro mags: $100

I ended up with a near-totally aftermarket upgraded complete P365 XMacro with 4 mags for $728. The only factory parts are the slide internals, recoil spring, and the FCU minus the trigger.

Even a stock factory XMacro with 2 mags will run you $720 and up online, plus shipping and transfer fees.

And finally, I capped this off with a Holosun SCS Carry optic and a TLR-7 Sub HL-X light.

I'm going to put this SCS Carry optic through its paces (and let my bank account cool down) before deciding what optic to put on the little one. I may get a second SCS Carry, or I may end up going with the cheaper Osight SE just to try it out.

Looks good. I’ve thought several times about upgrading the little standard 365 I have to be able to hold a normal light and get it out of the subcompact size. The problem is when I start looking at dimensions it starts to mirror the DWXC. So it keeps me from spending the money. I’m sure it would be lighter so I still might do it.

I wasn’t able to find as good of deals as you on the 4th.

Nine years to retirement! Just waiting!

Besides the significant weight different (~25% lighter), it'll also be noticeably smaller in length and width.

The DWXC is 7.5" long, whicle an XMacro is only 6.6", nearly a full inch shorter in the muzzle.

It's also noticeably thinner, with the DWXC being 1.25" wide, while the XMacro is 1.1" wide, but that dimension is kinda misleading as that's the width at the widest point - the palm swell. The majority of the XMacro is under 1" wide.

Plus, while they're the same height, the XMacro is 17+1 vs. the DWXC's 15+1.

The best deal was the Shalotek slide and barrel. That's a $325 slide and $150 barrel at retail.

It was partly luck (right place/right time/right seller), and partly that the slide is a "blem". If you look closely at this photo, you can see some tooling/chatter marks from the milling in the squared off recesses in the center of the slide, especially just above the ST rollmark.

But it's just cosmetic. The internals are fine, and in spec.
