I forgot to put my FFL's details in the notes of my frame order and just sent an email to the address on the Matrix website with my order number in the subject line. I had a reply within minutes. My dealer emailed his FFL to the same address and everything was fine.

I emailed them with complete contact info for my FFL, and got a response back within an hour. On a Sunday. I'm impressed!

I recently placed an order consisting of parts and serialized frame (REV2296). Prior to placing order I went ahead and registered just to get news, offers and such.

After I placed my order, I got an email stating that an FFL would be required.

I replied to that email with a copy of my FFL and the package was very promptly shipped with tracking at a cost way less than expected.

Prior to my adding items to cart on the wensite, I was actually on the phone with David. He was able to make changes to the site that allowed me to see exactly what configuration I was going to get.

Top notch service from these folks, do not hessitate to do deal with.

Here is a link to what I purchased:
https://www.matrixprecisionpar...-arms-rev2296-frame/

Once there, select the "No Tac Rail" option to see pic of actual item for that option.

Just to clairify, my frame is totally compatible with P228 or P229 uppers (with correct p228 or p229 locking insert), the hammer stop must be P226 and the frame grip profile is for P226 mags and P226 Grips.

Matrix Precision customer service seems to be keeping good company with folks like David Truong, Greg Cote, Top Gun Supply, Robert "The SIG Armorer" Burke, Ryan Grizzle, Armour Belts, and a few others that don't come to mind right now.

We are quick to rant about crappy customer service, it's a pleasure to be able to praise great customer service!

I impulse bought a non railed 226 blem frame just the other day. I put the name of my FFL in the order notes, expecting to see something more to fill out, and then was alarmed when it shipped later that same day. Somehow they figured it out and it was at my FFL two days later.

I put the factory grips on as the wood ones were way too fat for my hands. I loaded up all seven mags for a quick function check at 25 yards. I wanted to shoot the 7 yard line, but it was occupied. Anyway, 84 rounds and no failures. Accuracy wasn't bad, but accuracy wasn't my goal.

If I didn't already know it was an aftermarket frame, I would have though it was a genuine Sig.

I wipe off all the lube to have a look-see and the frame did just fine.

Speaking of fat, what’s with the trigger guard thickness? Almost Glock-like. Frown

Finally met up with V-Tail and Artie yesterday to let him try out his new pistol. Felt just like shooting a genuine Sig. I put the fat grips back on it since V-tail has bigger meat hooks than me. Pistol shot great with both 40 and 357 Sig barrels and not a hiccup at all. I pre-sighted in the XS sights and the pistol grouped centered left to right. The big front sight requires different holds to center up elevation.

Art brought along a nice 9mm AR for my son to shoot and he enjoyed it!

I took the time to inspect Art's M1A which had blown cases. Headspace was in spec and between 308 GO and NO-GO, but I firmly believe the Malaysian surplus ammo was the problem. The case ruptured at the rim and blew out the magazine.

I inspected the rifle for any other signs of damage and I didn't see any damage to the bolt lugs or the receiver. I brought along some PMC 147 grain factory ammo and the M1A ran without a hiccup.

I also brought along my double-lug M14 just so he could feel what a full custom M14 feels like.

Although it was a short range session, Art was a wonderful host. Thanks for inviting us over and I look forward to meeting again more often!

Good day, and nice to see all of you.

Gawd, that M-14 is a heavy rifle. Amazing trigger.

We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly.
