Probably 5 year sago put night sights on my Glock 43 that is often my daily carry in urban / suburban areas that are not gun friendly. Liked how my sights presented in dim light and/or darkness. The sights just went died. Do not remember the brand I attached that was green front sight, yellow rear. Would like the same or red rear sight. In the intervening years has there been any update in technology on night sights? Any specific preference among the members? U.S. Army 11F4P Vietnam 69-70 NRA Life Member

I run Trijicon HD XR with the orange front on all of my Glocks (around 12 of them). They are by far the best day/night sights I’ve found for a Glock. I have both of my G43’s setup with them. https://www.amazon.com/Trijico...Sight/dp/B01MSTOZGU/

I just recently replaced the night sights on my 43 and 43X. Also, I had just black steel sights on my 42 as it was my constant back-up companion when in uniform. But, a couple of months ago I put the same night sights on the 42. I found them at Amazon and have been very happy with them. I like the contoured edges on the both the front and rear sights. The tritium is bright and the price can't be beat. In the past the front sight boss on cheaper sights has been too small. These are just right. Amazon Truglo

I like the ones from night fision. You can get the rear square notch or U-notch. They are bright too.

Pretty much all my non optic Glocks get the Ameriglo Hackathorns. Tritium front with orange surround and blacked out/serrated rear. Not minority enough!

Ameriglo and Trijicon are the two big players. Both offer a wide variety of Glock sight options. There are also a number of smaller night sight manufacturers out there. However, red night sights like you're wanting aren't really a thing. Your choices for tritium colors are generally going to be green (most common), yellow (less common), or orange (uncommon). If you're dead-set on red sights, you'd have to go with fiber optic sights. Those come in a wide variety of colors, including red. The biggest difference in modern night sights compared to those offered a decade or two ago are that high-visibility front sight colors have become much more common on most models offered today, which is a good thing. So in addition to the colored tritium vial, they'll often also have a luminescent yellow or orange ring around the front sight, which helps you to pick it up quickly as well as to focus on the front sight. The rears will typically be subdued tritium-only with no ring, or even blank with no tritium at all. Though older style "3x tritium dots with white outlines" sights are still offered too. U notches on the rear have also become more common lately, compared to the traditional square notches, but that's more of a personal preference thing. Honestly, I wouldn't expect a lot of further innovation in night sight styles/technology in the coming years, since most folks nowadays are switching over to using optics and just going with blank black backup iron sights.
