November 2018 - Safety Recall - Walther PPS M2
This came out almost a year ago but I just learned about it this week out when I was going to search for new magazines.

As I was typing in the browser search bar, a suggestion popped up for PPS M2 Recall.

I clicked on the suggestion and went to the Walther site. https://waltherarms.com/recall/

Posting here in case there are other people who are not aware of this issue.

I printed out the recall form and shipping label and the pistol arrived at Walther today. I'll update when it is returned.

These are the effected serial numbers:

AN3020 through AN9999
AO0001 through AO9999
AP0001 through AP9999
AQ0001 through AQ9999
AR0001 through AR9999
AS0001 through AS9999
AT0001 through AT9999
AU0001 through AU7502

Dagnabbit - I searched but guess I didn't combine enough terms.

Thanks for posting that though! I took a look at Bud's site and they have the LE version w/ 3 mags for $298.

Looks like I'm taking a drive up the highway tomorrow to pick up another. I love it and it is my primary carry in warm weather, replacing the Glock 26.

You might want to edit your thread title to include date of recall so forum members and others don't think it might be another recall.

Just received an email acknowledging receipt of the pistol.

"To our valued Walther customer:

Please know that we have received the package you sent to our facility and it will be processed in a timely manner. The average repair time is currently running between 5 and 7 business days. If we need any further information or if there are charges involved that were not discussed when you first made contact with us then one of our Techs will follow up as required. Otherwise, either the necessary repairs will be made or product replaced based on the stated warranty and the gunsmith's evaluation.

Thanks!

Walther Service Team"
