I'd get the slide refinished.

CCR (Here on Sig Forum) does good work

Robar does great work too. Take a look at the Np3 or Np3+ coatings.

As promised, here's the pics of the Alpha Wolf slide.

Alpha Wolf top, IDP Tactical bottom

If I had to describe the finish, it almost looks like a matte nickel finish in person. Texture is pretty smooth compared to the IPD which was bead blasted. Has a greyer hue to it compared to the IDP as well, but that could just be because the IDP was bead blasted and the AW doesn't appear to have been. You can see some very faint machining marks on the top of the slide just in front of the rear sight for example.

All that aside, the machining overall is very nice. All the little details match an OEM slide from what I can tell. For example the little notch for the slide catch has the same angle as a factory slide, whereas the IDP was a straight 90 degree cut (factory isn't a 90 if you look close). I'll probably shoot it this weekend and see how it performs.

Why not just buy a Gen 3 G19 with a tennifer finish and call it good? Seems much simpler and cheaper than trying to replace the whole slide...
