Just picked up a 320 Compact 9mm....question about the Sig flat trigger Login/Join

Just picked up a 320 Compact and the flat trigger and installed it yesterday. Never played with a flat trigger before....I think I like it. Does the basic flat trigger from Sig lower the pull weight at all or am I just perceiving it to be lighter because of the difference in feel? Trigger finger placement feels better with the flat trigger vs the curved one it came with.

Side note....I had a 320 Compact years ago before the recall. Trigger felt crunchy and had this weird double click crunch. Sold it. This new one feels amazing by comparison. I’ve just been seeing all of the aftermarket support piling on and with it being chosen to be the armed forces gun figured I’d dive in. Got the gun and the trigger yesterday. Looking forward to picking up different frames to try and need some sights for it, this one has the normal contrast sights. Probably going to set it up in the Carrry configuration and looking at the polymer80 frame for it. Not sure if the polymer80 frames work in holsters for the 320 or not. Just seems like a cool gun overall. Hopefully getting to the range soon!

Oh and I bought the black compact small size frame. Gun feels great in hand with the small frame and flat trigger.

Congrats on the new P320. You should definitely give the Wilson Combat grip module a shot.

The flat trigger provides more leverage, hence a perceived lighter pull. Mechanically, the trigger pull has not changed.

The "double-click" trigger went away with the upgrade.

Enjoy your new p320...I'm a big fan of them myself. Good call on going with the compact...imo the compact/carry is the most versatile configuration. You can put a carry-sized grip, or even a subcompact grip module on it, and have three different sized guns in one, for less than a $100 investment in grip modules.

92FS nailed it ^^^

The flat triggers bring leverage to the party.
"A lever makes the work easier. It does not reduce the amount of work."
Everyone's Science teacher

I wouldn't run out and buy the P80 grip module.
Handle the SIG X-grip first.
Many shooters like the X-Compact configuration.
And then there's the Wilson Combat grip module that many like.

I would say that those two are more developed than the P80 grip module.
