balanceFN's sorta new HIPER handgun
The trigger is the drop safety on this pistol. The entire trigger pivots as it is hinged to the trigger bar on the top, similar to the Walther P99.

BlackwaterI do like what FN does with the grip texture on the FN 509 LS Edge and Reflex, which it looks like FN incorporates on this one and added some.
Mag release is something I think I would like.
Surprised it's coming here, but sales figures may be the reason some have mentioned.

I don't know but after the P320 mess I believe a lot, including PDs and other agencies, are going to be skeptical of any striker fired pistols without the Glock type trigger safety tab.

MacGyver^^^I’m with
balance on this one. I think it’s like the P99 where the whole trigger pivots. In that case, there’d be nothing to worry about.

It accomplishes the same task. The entire trigger is the "lever" here, and the trigger bar cannot move until the trigger pivots.
My assumption as far as the P320 is concerned is that since the trigger bar moves forward rather than rearward, Sig thought that a drop safety on the trigger was not necessary. I have a lot of questions here regarding this.

grumpy1The other advantage of the trigger tab safety is the trigger will absolutely not move unless the tab safety is pulled first. That eliminates any movement of the trigger by forces on the side/edge of the trigger which seem to have happened with the P320 with a damaged/poor fitting holster or any force great enough to the holster to cause it to flex and press on the side of the trigger and move it.
The P320 has gotten a lot of bad publicity because it does not have the safety trigger tab which possibly would have eliminated a lot of these reported unexpected discharges. I really can't see PDs and other agencies adopting a different striker fired trigger design when there are plenty of quality pistols available already from the likes of Glock and Smith and Wesson. Even a large percent of end consumers will probably just want to go with a trigger safety tab design.

Black92LXGun is ugly and nothing to get excited about.
Wonder who the FN employee was that screwed up on camera and what did they do to create a complete FN employee interview ban.
