Sig 365 Newbie Question - Keep Curved Trigger or go with Flat Trigger?

h2oysSig 365 Newbie Question - Keep Curved Trigger or go with Flat Trigger?
Well my very first striker fired handgun is on the way. So that is my "first first".
My "second" is I have always had a curved trigger.
However I keep hearing on the Forum and from a long distance friend, that the 365 just begs for a flat trigger.
Is it just a matter of personal preference or is there something about a flat trigger that makes it mechanically/physically to your trigger finger, better?
Next if I get a flat trigger is Sigs at ~$50 or Grayguns at ~$90 the way to go?

ARH19456I have P365s and P365XLs. I left curved ones on the P365s and straight on the P365XLs. I've have moved the straight trigger FCUs into the P365 and tried them, I ended up liking both triggers equally.

dehughesI installed the stock SIG flat triggers in both my P365 and my P320, and vastly prefer the feel of the flat triggers over the stock, curved ones.

bozmanI have tried all of the triggers produced by the "main stream" aftermarket parts makers. Gray Guns flat trigger all day, every day.

Johnny 3eaglesI installed the Sig flat trigger and replaced it with the GreyGuns flat trigger. I feel I have more trigger control with the flat trigger. YMMV.

Even over the stock SIG fat trigger? I’m curious now. Elaborate, if you would.

threefeathersI've heard nothing but good about Grey Guns products. I think I'll save up and go that way with my 365.

You should have bought the XL if you wanted a flat trigger. Everyone ends up with the 12 round mags on a P365 so you're half way there.

bozmanThe Gray Guns trigger's geometry and "curves" are more comfortable than the SIG factory. And, during long shooting sessions, my trigger finger stays pain free.

I did order the new spring kit from Magguts that replaces the original spring to allow a 10 round mag to become a 12 round mag while retaining the size of the 10 round mag. Hence a 10 round mag becomes a 12 and a 12 round mag becomes a 14.

paulbriandFlat trigger on the 365 makes a big difference for me. I purchased from Sig and the Local Armor installed for $30. Additionally I picked up an XL grip module and this makes a pretty sold EDC . Fits my hand well and three fingers comfortably on the grip and it still fits in my pocket. Thios is my only striker fired pistol.

Oz_ShadowI only notice curved vs flat at home. At the range I never even notice the trigger shape because I’m focused on all the other things.

AH.74I have had my new 365 for a couple of weeks now but haven't yet been able to get out and start proving it out before putting it into carry use.
I was all set to order the SIG flat trigger but I thought it would make better sense to actually shoot it and see how the stock trigger felt before making a change. I do not dislike the feel of the standard trigger so expect it should be good.

h2oysI loaded my two new 12-round mags yesterday. It was near impossible to load all 12 rounds. After killing my thumb I grabbed my P229 mag loader. Although it was designed for a longer mag, and after much difficulty, finally finished the job.
I’ve never had that much difficulty. Makes me wonder if the extractor will have trouble pulling the next round.
Never have I had that much trouble loading a new mag. Is that normal?
By the way, my thumb still hurts.

Johnny 3eaglesYes, the 365 magazines are hard to load. Maglula is your friend.

sigarms229Its a matter of personal preference. I have 2 Sig P365's (and 3 XL's) and all of them have the Sig factory flat trigger.
It really wasn't hard to change out on the standard P365's and to me they just work.
Sometimes, you gotta roll the hard six

sigfreundMy P365, all my P320s, and several of my Classic line pistols have straight triggers. My finger curves to the bottom of the trigger guard and in its natural position the pointed ends of curved triggers poke into my fingertip. The straight triggers eliminate that annoyance, and because I’m pulling from closer to the end of the trigger it reduces the pull weight slightly. Straight triggers also make it possible to shoot with gloves that aren’t usable with curved triggers.

Absolutely.... I couldn't even come close to loading the 12-round mag without the Maglula...it works great and easy to do...

I see new spring kits for mags from Magguts and trigger spring kits from M-Carbo...I like the 4.5# result that I read about for trigger pull, but am a bit wary of weak springs on mags and all of these "enhancements" that might lead to functioning problems at the wrong time...away from the practice range...
Of course, yrs ago, I used to run with my 1911's at less than 4 lbs...but I did see a guy with real light trigger pull have his 1911 go full auto for three rds...one at the range target...one at the roof, and the third thru his scapula/clavicle...
