I heard Taurus G2/G3 mags will work as long as they're same caliber and long enough.

Also heard if you Dremel a new mag catch slot, Beretta 92/M9 mags will work.

Negative

226/8/9 mags will work in the G2/3 platform.

However, G2/3 mags will not work in a 226/8/9. The front top of the mag sleeve hits the feed ramp, stopping insertion and will not allow it to lock into place. *You might be able to file that portion down a bit to make it work.

Also, 226 mags feed perfectly in a 229, but do stick out the bottom a little. The other interesting one to me is that P220-45 mags feed in a 220-9. The cartridge column is kind of ratty looking, but they work. All my 220-9s are Euro bottom catch, so you can only use the old 7 round flat base mags. I don't have an American style 220-9, so I don't know if the newer 45 mags would work in those or not.
