Took longer than in the past, but excellent work per usual. I picked up the SDP on a semi-whim last summer. Replaced the firing pin, firing pin spring and hammer spring. Not too difficult and greatly lowered/improved the LONG double action pull; slightly improved the already excellent single action pull.

But I was not a fan of the "weird finish" on the SS slide and the "upper frame" in aluminum had a few scuffs that irritated me. The original owner only shot 50 rounds through it before an injury made him give it up, after he had added night sights. I was on the fence about whether it was a keeper, so I figured getting it refinished with a better matching and self-lubricating finish would help my regard for it. The slide is CPII Dusk, the once black barrel is now CPII (silver), and the upper frame is their propietary cera-hyde house black finish. The frame lower/grip is polymer (unchanged). Now I think I'll keep it (and not buy anymore firearms on a semi-whim).

Nice!! How does the CPII finish hold up? I have a couple of Encore barrels I’m thinking of sending in. Does anyone have long term use experience?

Thanks. The CPII finish has held up wonderfully for my BHP and Beretta 92FS Centurion barrels. That stated, they are safe queens when not being actively shot (i.e., not holstered/carried), but so far, so very good.

I shot my Gold Cup yesterday with the CPII finish on the frame. I had it done years ago and it still looks like new.

Looks awesome! I have a 92FS there now.

I've lost access to my photobucket accounts and have sold my P2000 but I did a 10k round comparison of the P2000 NP3 and my Glock 32 CPII barrel. The CPII barrel held up better and still looks great to this day.

Pretty much all my Glock barrels get CPII'd as soon as I get the gun.

Not minority enough!
