ogive40Which "Target" 1911?
Kimber Stainless Target II or a Dan Wesson in that price range.

Kimber makes a very nice pistol for the money and I wouldn't hesitate to buy one.
I was a bit concerned about this also, especially after strongly considering a SIG Emperor Scorpion in 10mm which really locks the pistol in your hand. After shooting my new SA Range Officer it didn't present any problem as the G10 grips on mine are very grippy. Whether I would feel the same way if it were .45 instead of 9mm I can't answer.

I have one and agree.
