FYI: I got an e-mail the Officer Store advertising Glock 32 Gen 4s with box and 3 mags for $365 with free shipping. I would jump myself but dont want to take on the .357 Sig cartridge right now. This message has been edited. Last edited by: YooperSigs,

I've been wanting a gen4 32 for awhile. I'm still using my gen3 32 from 2002.
I just got two gen4 32s in for work that aren't being issued to anyone yet. I can retire in 298 days, maybe I will turn in my gen4 31 (I already bought my last gen4 31 when we traded guns) and issue myself a 32 so I can retire with it.

Not to tell you what to do, but if it was me I'd regret missing the chance to keep a gun I've carried on duty since 2002. Gen 4 32s are readily available, and cheap...that personal history not so much. I have all three of my retired duty guns to date, and would never sell any of them. They've each been through some hairy situations with me, and my sons will get them someday.

The gen3 32 was my off duty gun from 2002. I was carrying an HK USP Compact in 357 for my off duty but went Glock for off duty since we switched from S&W 4046 to Glock 22s in 2002.
We switched to gen3 31s back in 2008. In 2012, I got in four gen4 31s and issued one to myself. In 2018, we traded those in and I bought back my 2012 gen4 31 for $200, so I kinda have that gun already.
If I'm still here in 2025, I'm pushing an early switch to Glock 45 MOS5 (RMR-cut) if Glock will still make that for agencies. Then I'll get to buy my current gen4 31 back and the dealer will let me buy back a 32 as well since I'm the one that makes the list of who buys back what when we turn it in (I also bought back my original gen3 31 when I bought back the 2012 gen4 31)
The only duty gun I never bought back was a 92D Centurion, but I was only with that department for 6 weeks so they wouldn't let me. I've bought back every duty gun from my current job.
When we made the switch from L Frame Smith revolvers to the 229, Kieslers offered to sell me my 686 for $175. I passed. Geezuz, what a mistake that was!

Gotcha. Yeah, I've done the same...every time we upgrade we've had the option to buy them back at the trade-in price. I have my P229, the pre-upgrade P320 that we were initially issued (which I promptly sent in for the update, for free) when Sig replaced them with new upgraded guns, and just recently bought back that replacement P320 when we switched to the P320F RDO guns. It'll never be as cool of a collection as my buddy has...he recently retired after 36 years with the same PD and has every gun from his pre-lock Model 66 on up.

Ouch ! Yeah, that hurts. My biggest gun regrets are a few that I haven't bought, but looking back at some of them and considering my financial situation at certain points in my life, they just wouldn't have been a wise decision at the time. Doesn't make it hurt any less now, though.

Started my LE career in 1991. We carried model 10's or 13's. I had a personally owned 686 with a 4 inch barrel which I lobbied to carry instead, which I did. Shortly therafter we went to the 229 in .40, just like zillions of departments did. Fast forward a few years. We went with the 226R in .40, I purchased my 229 from the dept. In about 2016 we went to the P320 in 9mm because of the capacity and lighter weight. The 226 was HEAVY, especially with a flashlight. We did trigger upgrade thing a couple of years after (don't hold me to the exact date). Sig did the turn in with almost no cost to the dept. We were allowed to purchase our old 320's cheap, after the upgrade was completed on them. I was issued a new 320 which I carried for just a short while until I retired.
So, I have every pistol that I carried on duty in the safe. Including my BUG a G27. Never could understand why guys wouldn't buy their pistols if offered the opportunity, dirt cheap too!! Cops are some of the cheapest people I know!! Work one or two off duty details and it's paid for. Even if you're not into guns, give it to one of your kids someday!!!
I am thinking about buying one of these. G32’s are great guns. I have bought all my duty guns during trade ins except for my first one. A S&W 40 caliber Smagma. The biggest POS duty gun ever.
