I coveted a kimber Montana in 280 ackley… finally I saved the money to get it, and ordered it from a friend of mines shop. It showed up and lo and behold the Serial number was the exact date of my birth. I took it to alaska and shot 3 deer there, moose, and down here: 3 deer, black bear, and 2 rams. It’s become my go to “mice to moose” rifle. Add to that .35” groups with hand loads… it’ll never leave my collection.
Very neat!

Mars_AttacksI had a government surplus Beretta 92F with the serial DOE007 that was used in a nuclear power plant.
Traded it even for my JK P226.

Closest I have to something cool is my M&P 1.0 S/N starts with the letters MP, but there are thousands of copies that are like that.

.38supersigI traded a P250 for a Glock the same week the BTK spree made the news.
Later a realized that BTK was the first part of the serial.
Correcting this error, I bought a German P250 with a serial that rhymes.
