Will The 365 Fuse Survive

yaniciWill The 365 Fuse Survive
I'm really interested in possibly getting a Fuse to use as a range gun. Thing is though, I don't see much chatter on the boards about this model. I'd hate to get one and find that Sig will decide to drop it from their lineup and lack of support to follow soon after. Any input on how well they might be selling? Probably just another flash in the pan, huh?

cslingerIt’s a “P365” at heart and SIG ain’t dropping the P365 anytime soon. Even if they discontinue the FUSE or some other specific variant you still have plenty of parts/options etc.
I wouldn’t worry about it in this specific case.

92fstechIf anything, I see them making more variants, and possible offering conversion kits. I'm not a P365 guy as I've already got my bases pretty well covered with the P320, but if I was starting over today looking for a striker-fired handgun for belt carry, the Fuse is probably where I'd look first.

YooperSigsGot about 250 rounds through my Fuse thus far. Fully reliable. And its longer grip, better sights, longer sight radius and excellent mag well lets me shoot it much better than the standard 365 I had. I am hoping for a manual safety grip from either Wilson or Sig and then I will buy the MS Kit from Sig.
If Sig dumps it, I can use the FCU to build something I want.

Yeah, isn't it the best selling gun in SIG's history? And, you can make the P365 in any shape or form, because the "gun" is the FCU.

Rey HRHMaybe they’ll have a model with a barrel length of 4”. It’ll be between the 3.7” of the P365xl and the 4.3” of the Fuse.

yaniciI understand that it is a 365 variant and lots of parts for the FCU. The barrel length looks to be unique and I assume the recoil spring assembly is probably unique too. Maybe the extractor parts to the slide and the firing pin assembly are Fuse only. So many questions that could put the gun on the shelf as unusable with certain parts failures.

AnubismpI actually think with all of the goings on with the 320 that the Fuse will sell very well as a 320 adjacent model. Issues or no issues, there are LE agencies that do not allow the 320 so staying in a similar ecosystem and having a full size gun thats slim is likely something that will keep it going where as the standard 365 is more for carry. Just my 2 cents but I see it sticking around.

shovelheadI don’t see Sig discontinuing the Fuse anytime soon. While it’s not as well knows as the Macro for that matter neither is the Tac Ops. And the extended slide release and the flared magwell are an excellent upgrade to an already great product like the Macro. Some shooters prefer the longer slide and barrel of the Fuse.
Now an interesting idea would be on he lines of the old Dan Wesson revolvers with multiple barrels. Offer the assembled chassis using the extended slide release and flared magwell together with the complete barrel and slide assemblies of the Macro/Tac Ops and the Fuse as a kit. Include two 17 round magazines together with two 21 round magazines.

JupiterNo...it is being discontinued. It will be replaced by the upcoming "P365 Extreme Duty Tactical Mall-Ops" this spring.

monoblokIt seems that there IS a max limit size-wise to the P365, and the Fuse evidently found it. The fundamental point of the P365 has and forever will be that it's a gun well-conceived for convenient and comfortable concealed carry. That's a lot of words that start with the letter 'c'...as in "compact". Really compact. And the Fuse is hardly that.
And yes indeed the Fuse totally sucks as a sales force leader for us as well. Turns out very few people are looking for a slender pistol that has a profile as large as girthier full sized pistols.

Sure, but is there anything about the 365 FCU that prevents it from being used in a service-sized pistol?

patwI am glad Sig is doing more with the P365 and I am sure Sig is trying to capitalize on every angle.

Stand by for Chicago PD and Safariland… working to make one of the bigger model 365’s available for duty since the P320 is gone.

MutinyI just bought a Fuse last month for carry. What’s not to like about 17 rounds in standard config and 21 in the extra included mags? It’s slim and has a longer barrel which I prefer. I hope they continue the line. I only want to change the sights to something that works better for my preferences.

I have the tacops and the legion and like them both but the legion definitely has less recoil, I'm wondering with the longer barrel does the fuse have even less recoil?

FenderBenderIf I were looking for +4" bbl and an 17+ round mag the Fuse is the only thing I'd buy. I don't have the biggest hands in the world and the 365 fit's me perfectly, I hate the finger groves on gen 3-4 glocks I've now got my own "glock"

I have both. I haven’t started carrying the Fuse yet, I need to trim my Crossbreed holster to fit it.

AnubismpThis is what is nice about the chassis system guns. I grabbed a XL length grip from Mirzon that has a fuse length rail and I can run an easier to conceal gun. I can also pop it back into its standard grip and run it with the big mags(which I can do with the mirzon as well).
I think the fuse is my favorite configuration of the 365 to this point and the nice thing is if I dont like it I can just move to a different slide assembly and tweak as needed.
As to the comment about it being considered for duty it already is being considered by atleast a few as either a replacement for the 320 or an option for smaller cops who dont want to give up cap or accessories. The holster is the hold up and I expect that to be remeided shortly by some of the big players.
