The LE/MIL program is from SIG. The dealer gets them cheaper and are not allowed to sell them to anyone that doesn’t qualify for the program. They get more “none program” guns, but at a higher price from Sig and therefore can’t match the cheaper price.

Amen. As with many others, I’d jump at the opportunity to buy a black Legion 226 SAO and would pay a premium over the normal commercial gray pricing.
I certainly understand offering a unique price break to LEOs and other qualified persons. And, if a given model had certain features that were only appropriate for LEO, etc, I understand why such variations would be restricted. But, it’s silly for Sig to restrict its otherwise normal-yet-superior Black Nitron finish to the LEO Legions (or this M18).
