TexasRaiderSig P320 Pre-Voluntary Upgrade Question
Hey all, I have a quick question. I have a very good friend that brought an early P320 over to my house and showed it to me, it appears that it still has the original fat trigger on it from probably around 2014 or so. It does something I have not seen newer P320s do. If the gun is unloaded with no magazine in it, and you pull the trigger it will naturally click from being pulled. But then when you release the trigger it will continue to click. You can do this over and over. Is this normal? This is the first pre-voluntary upgrade P320 I've ever messed with.
Thanks

nhracecraftThat is normal for a P320 that did NOT go back to SIG for the 'Voluntary Upgrade'.
Here's a couple of pics of a P320 w/o the 'Voluntary Upgrade'.

sigfreundI have a vague recollection that it was touted as a useful feature for dry-firing.

It really isn't. The early p320 overriding sear arrangement does reset the sear after the trigger is pulled, but since it doesn't reset the striker, it doesn't help dry fire.

MacGyverYep, this is normal on pre-upgrade P320s. It is not seen on post-upgrade P320s because of the addition of an out-of-battery disconnector.
