What has your progression of CCW pistols looked like?
I began carrying a concealed firearm in 2003.

2003-2008: Beretta 8045
2008-2011: Beretta 92FS
2011-2013: Beretta 92 Compact L
2013-2017: Beretta 92FS
2017-Present: Sig P229R in 9mm

When traveling out of state I would carry a P239 in 9mm but that has been replaced with a P225-A1.

Every now and again I consider swapping out my P229R with the P225-A1 perminantly but, invariably, I look at the world around me and decide I like having the extra ammo (including the spare magazine) that I carry.

I've been carrying since the mid 80's. Up until 10-12 years ago, my ccw was almost exclusively a revolver. Over the years it would have been either a J or K frame snubbie, or similar. Most often a 38/357, but I had several 44 specials over the years.

I began the transition to semi's, and these days carry them almost exclusively. The evolution of my ccw's in this class include:
XD40sc
Khar MK9
P239 40
P239 9mm
P6 9mm
Khar CW40
H&K P2000 40
CZ75D PCR
M&P40
M&P40C
PPS 9mm
XDs 45

These days, it is usually one of the last 3 on the list.

I’ve carried a crapload of different models over the years, but the two I’ve carried by far the most are the Sig P239 in 9mm, and the Ruger LCP for front pocket carry! Far and away my two favorites for concealed carry without a doubt!

For a few reasons, I don't carry very often, but...

While not the first gun I ever carried, the one on the right was the first one I bought just for that reason. The middle one I bought because a friend was selling it cheap, it took it's place. The XD's came because someone offered me a trade. It has the job now. (there was a S&W 36 and an LCP mixed in there briefly and occasionally.)

I carried a P229 for years, then went to a Glock 19. I now carry a Shield 45 as my primary concealed carry gun. I wish I'd bought a smaller gun years ago.

Here's to the sunny slopes of long ago.

behindyou
1.LCP gen 1 - was afraid I was printing and the crowd would go wild
2.XDs45 - ran flawlessly - didn't like the grip
3.Sig P220 Compact/P245 - 95% of the time
4. Sig P238 - 5% of the time ("honey, can you run to the store for me" - and I'm in gym shorts, gun)

1. S&W M66 / M60
2. Walther PPK/S
3. SIG P229
4. SIG P239
5. Glock G23
6. Glock G27
7. Glock G43

3-6 are/have been "work guns." 7 is just plain easy to carry.

1) Started with a 5" 1911 and a Keltec P32 BUG
2) The 1911 got left at home or in the glove box often, so just the P32
3) P32 on body with Glock 20 off body in my office or car
4) Glock 19
5) Kahr K9
6) Kahr PM9
7) Glock 43

On occasion I carry something bigger but that's mighty rare. I'm actually more prone to carry two G43s than I am to pack a bigger gun.
