Before he immigrated to Israel, he was a firefighter in the Russian army. He shoots good, but had never seen a Desert Eagle.
He was amazed with all the guns that just kept coming out of an American's house.
He said the Russians were actually terrified of the Americans coming, now he knows why.

I think the Dessert Yaggle has been responsible for more smiles than any other pistol shown on SIGforum.
I went to a BBQ event several years ago and it was a big hit there.
Every time I see one of your or your brother's posts, it brings back fond memories even going back to the get togethers at the Chesnut Mountain shooting range.

I bought that pistol from Top Gun Supply off the forum after I had sold my Wildey years before to much regret.
It had brought great entertainment to our BBQ's and shoots.

Cool!
Looks like you guys are having fun.
The Desert Eagle has always been one of my favorites.
They are easy to shoot as well as easy to customize.

Arty wanted him to shoot the 1952 Browning A5 12 gauge. SO we let his blast away with it at water bottles! Through translation he told us of his dad's double barrel side hammer they'd go hunting with when he was a boy.
He and I were shooting fireworks too.
We treated him to an American Independence Day celebration, complete with BBQ!
My engineer showed him all around the property. He said they have a similar BBQ pork in Ukraine but NOTHING like we made! Marzy and I smoked 4 racks of ribs and I also made hamburgers.
This was his first time in America too!

That's pretty awesome! The hospitality you guys show to guests in our country is really cool. You know that guy is going to go home and tell his friends and family about the crazy, friendly Americans who stuffed him full of food and let him shoot their hand-cannons !
I've never shot a Desert Eagle, but somebody keeps leaving .50 AE brass on the ground at the gun club, and I keep picking it up. If it continues at the rate it's going, it won't be long before I have to buy one just so I can get some use out of that brass. Now to just get my wife to understand and appreciate that need .

The engineers make it a POINT to get sent to my area so they can come to my place! Big props to Artiom and his wife for housing them until they go home! I think Arty likes to welcome them too. He's not long out of his car before he's sending lead down range.

Be patient and shop around. A few years ago I found a 50AE that the guy said it had exactly seven rounds through it. Didn't want to negotiate on the price at all. Then said he wanted $800. SOLD!
Unfortunately for my budget, these things are addictive. First you'll want a few barrels in other calibers, then some different sights, grips, then it would be easier to use them if you got some more frames...
I had to cut back and sell some a few years ago and now I'm down to six.

Thanks for sharing. I'll bet he sees Putin's face sitting on the top of his front sight.

Yeah, Some of them I just can't let go. Seems the sweet spot in Desert Eagle goodness is the .41 Magnum, but the fifty gets the best reaction every time. That and I was able to find a prototype.
Give me a shout and I'll see if I can stop by next time I'm in Gainsville.

It's how the Ukrainian pronounced Eagle, but you probably knew that from all the discussion in the thread about Desert Eagles.

That looks like a great day. Even as big as the Eagle is, that round is pretty stout.
