I bought a P320X Compact and a Romeo1 sight. Sight was mounted. Now finding out that the sight won't work on that slide. Looks like I'll need an adapter plate. Has anyone dealt with this? Finally found a video on how to take the original plate off from the bottom.

Sig changed the footprint on the X-Compact to fit the Delta Point Pro and the newer Romeo 1 Pro. If your going to run backup iron sights, I'd sell the Romeo 1 and replace it with the Pro. That's if you're dead set on the Sig optic.
