This little beast was so accurate and soft shooting that is was begging for an optic. She will be going into my carry rotation as soon as I can get to the range to zero the optic. 7+1 of Speer Gold Dot 200gr and an extra mag makes me feel warm and cozy.

Seriously though this was one new round I actually had hoped that it would gain traction in the industry. I love the concept but I like .45.

That is a killer little setup you have there. Enjoy.

Hey now! Cool

I got on the G39 and 45 GAP bandwagon in 2007. I shot the G39 surprisingly well. I kinda set it aside when 45 GAP didn't become a thing. During the recent ammo supply unpleasantness, I was finding 45 GAP target ammo at tolerable prices. So much so that I picked up a G38 two months ago to help turn that money into smoke and noise.

usncorpsman, definitely a nice setup you've got there.

They don't think it be like it is, but it do.

Father in law has what I think is a G38 (one size bigger than the OP).
Not a bad shooter when you can find ammo. Locally there's only 1 or 2 places that stock it.

I was able to hit the range with the G39 today. The gun ran 200rds without a single issue. Accuracy was outstanding at 7-25yds. I zeroed at 15yds and was knocking down the plates at 25yds without issue. If I took my time, all shots landed in the black from 3-25yds. I love this gun and carried it for the first time after leaving the range.

First 5rds freehand 7yds

5rds benched 15yds

10rds benched 15
