Specifically, my question is regarding scarcity in your geographic area. Are these encountered, occasionally? I ask because I just saw my first example... and, I look (in person) at a lot of firearms. No Tupperware container and I’m not sure if the tritium sights are original. It does NOT have a “pencil” barrel. Also, a flared magwell piece has been attached. Next time I look it over, I’ll pull the slide and check the internals for original black parts. I don’t necessarily need it but, at 3 bills I might have to buy it. -BillThis message has been edited. Last edited by: Bill-in-Texas, Former US Army, Sgt., 82nd Abn. Div. I am an original owner of a 5 digit SN 1st Gen Glock 17, with all the original parts, that I picked up in the mid 80’s. I never see them for sale in the LGS’s I visit. Friends who have handled it wish it had grip serrations and drop free mags, but EVERY person has said that it has the best crispest trigger they’ve ever experienced on a Glock. I am looking for an original parts 1st Gen Glock 19. Good luck with your search. Port Orchard, WA

7mm a 19 will be a tough thing to find. As I recall while there were tens of thousands gen 1 17’s made there were but a handful of 19’s. I have heard prices on gen 1 19’s approach 10 grand! I have handles owned and know of a good number of gen 1 17’s but never even saw a gen 1 19 in the flesh. I recently parted with a gen 2 19 I have used for years.

In other words, G17s are not that scarce. Former US Army, Sgt., 82nd Abn. Div. Paratrooper, Infantryman, (81mm Mortars) Certified Armorer Love God, Country, & Family

My other Sig is a Steyr. |
Scarce? No. Worth three bills? Yes! Don't just sit there reading this, go get that 17! There are a few out there that want the first of the first or one of each generation. My preference would be of the Gen2 variety. No finger grooves and works with the 357Sig carbine kit.

Not really from Vienna |
It’s been many years since I’ve seen a first generation Glock for sale here.

In all my trips to gun shows and shops in various states I'm only ever seen two for sale. They were both on consignment in the same store by the same owner and reasonably priced. One was a user, one new in box. I strongly considered buying one but I just couldn't justify it.
The Gen 2 19 is my favorite Glock. I've got a pair of them. ============================================ Photographs: https://photobucket.com/u/photoman12001 ----------------------------------- Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/photoman12001/ ----------------------------------- YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/photoman12001/videos
