Are there any owners in No. VA of the CMMG Banshee 9mm? Before I make another large investment in a firearm that I do not like, I would very much want to shoot it first. If anyone has one and would let me meet them at the range and try it, I would deeply appreciate it. Thank you.

Thanks that is very generous of you. Is the MPX 9 the 4.5" version?

Mpx and kriss are 8", bnt is about the same. The ptr is 4.5 ish. They are all sbrs. I also have a 10inch 300blkout sbr.

Wow you have quite a collection. I will pass on your generous offer since I am interested in the banshee and 4.5 inch MPX K. Thanks again.

SSA I know your issue is recoil, but I can tell you with certainty that the 4.5" MPX and the 8" one have no difference in recoil. I change barrels on my MPX's all the time and it makes zero difference.

Honestly. The best thing for recoil is a can. It reduces recoil significantly and noticably..

There isnt much difference between the ptr9kt, and mpx. The kriss would be next, the bnt after that. My fm9(similar to the banshee was in between the mpx and kriss.

DSgrouse does a can do much on things like the scorpion, since as pure blowback you have to have enough recoil to run the bolt? Curious.

You should take him up on his offer to try the MPX. My buddy had the 8” and I had the 4”. There was no difference between the two. Recoil is like a .22 in both.

Thanks for the post. Your suggestion is a good one, but I have shot the 8 inch version already and was more interested in the handling of the K version. Happy shooting

I have a CMMG Banshee in 10mm, and which is sweet. I actually plan on shooting it with my brother this Sunday at the Fairfax Rod & Gun club.

CMMG makes good stuff. I don't think you'll be let down if the particular features are what you want. I've handled a few Banshees at local shops and like them, they're just pricey in an increasingly crowded PCC market.

10mm is a great caliber and in th Banshee it must run great. While I would love to shoot one 10mm higher than what I shoot. Thanks for the post and happy shooting.
