Acquisition?
No - that's not right.
This is the gun I've wanted for some time. It's... it's...

remsigNice looking GP synth. Shoot the hell out of it, it'll last forever. I've had mine for 20 or so years now and it still looks brand new.

WarhorseCongrats!
They are great revolvers, love mine. No bending over to pick up brass is nice.

Cobra21Nice find. I am right there with you. I parted with my S&W .357 when I acquired my GP.

pedropcolaYep. My first guns ever were S&W wheelguns and I will always love them. That being said, the strength and simplicity of the GP design won me over.

sns3guppyOne of my favorite .357 revolvers is the security six. I have a SP-101 that I'll never give up, for personal reasons. I think the GP-100 represents the best buy in a .357 revolvter todsy, the modern Security Six. Absolutely excellent choice. Great, great pistol.
It can be made better, but as it comes the GP-100 is an essential.

LincolnSixEchoNice pick up! I just got a sp101 in 357 mag and I like it a lot. Super compact though tank like enough to handle those magnums and not even beat up the hand too badly.

cslingerI have quite a few Smith revolvers including PC guns and I GENUINELY love my GP100s. My 3 inch is damn near perfect and the six inch makes .357 about like a .32 auto. I know I am in the minority but I like the GP lines.
Nice pickup. Enjoy and shoot safe.

It came with the Hogue rubber grip. I purchased the Ruger "
compact" grip, and installed it. Now it feels just right!

Yeah, that's perfect. Every time I see a GP100 I want one. I will get one someday, as I have a no-dash S&W 586 that I picked up from its former LEO owner, and while it's perfect, I hesitate to shoot it much because it has a sentimental place for me.
However, the idea of grabbing a 4", stainless, GP100 and shooting it until Jesus comes back, well, I can handle that just fine.

BigboreshooterNice heater! I love the original GP100 grips with the wood inserts.

YooperSigsI met my destiny in a pawn shop in Dayton in 1995.The clerk said that no one wanted revolvers anymore. His loss, my gain. I have now lost track of the round count but would guess its 3K+.
The most boring of all my guns. It just shoots and shoots and shoots.
Destiny now lies in a 3 inch model.
