Q - Not the highest quality photos but a couple of the best ones I could find in the “completed/closed” auctions on one of the larger gun selling sites. The pistols that sold on this site (13 in total) ranged from $2699.00 up to $3899.00 (a couple of the first pistols posted had several bidding wars resulting in higher than normal prices).

First photo is a snap shot of the pistol case label (I edited out the pistol’s SN#).

Ain't you somethin' special?

"Lots of people," huh? And 2500 dollars. That's the dividing line in your fevered brain, for what constitutes an expensive handgun. I'd say that you've set the bar too low.

In your mind, "lots of people" are so jealous and envious of your "expensive" (handguns costing more than the arbitrary 2500 dollar line you've imagined) collection.

What goes on in your head is your business, but if you want to crap on the majority of members of this forum, you need to get written permission from me.

And don't tell me I've misinterpreted your remark, or that you do or don't yadda yadda. I know exactly what you're doing.

Maybe your smug ass will find that "kind of humorous."

Well we’re all entitled to an opinion and it’s my opinion that gun in person is absolutely beautiful.

It’s also possibly the best shooting American made non-2011/1911 on the market.
I agree it is a very attractive firearm, the only thing I dislike about it is the rail. But I don't like rails on most handguns anyway.

The one I fired I found to be a very good shooter. I assume that your comment is in reference to 9MM pistols and not every caliber of semi-automatic in existence. You also used the phrase "on the market" so you might possibly be limiting your suggestion to only firearms that are currently in production. I am going to presume that you were not intending that to be a factor

Limiting my comment to 9MM pistols, you may not be aware of some of the Smith and Wesson Performance Center offerings. The 5906 PPC, which was manufactured as both a 5" and a 6", are exceptional shooters. Whether they out shoot the 226X5 reserve or not is hard to say since I did not shoot them side by side.

While the Smith and Wesson Model 3566 Limited did not leave the factory chambered as a 9MM pistol, the Performance Center did optionally provide a 9MM barrel for the firearm. It too is a spectacular shooter and probably the sexiest looking auto loader that Smith and Wesson ever produced

Very nice. I really love the old PC guns. I was referring to currently produced pistols, but the PC guns will certainly perform on par.

As for rails, I’m with you there. However, they are so prevalent these days that I just overlook it.

I never use them for anything though.
