Hi All I was searching for the 226 Reserve and I started on the Sig site and when you hit their Buy Now button $6,999.99 comes up on Gunbroker.

https://www.gunbroker.com/Guns...676&MinPrice=2199.99

From the videos I've seen $2800.00 was the price quoted so $6,999 is a crazy price and seeing MinPrice=2199.99 in the address is interesting but a low price for this piece.

Plus I cannot find it anywhere, so what's the price and where can you find one?

Fancy gun. Limited Edition. Many people want. Some are desperate. Do the math.

I’ve got one that I’m picking up in a couple weeks. Paid $2699

GB sellers can try to get whatever they want. I do see them creeping up in value over time. They are limited production and demand seems to be there. I will say it’s a beautiful pistol. Pictures don’t do them justice.

I bought two of them, last year for $199.00 each.
Consecutive serial numbers, factory Nickle, real ivory grips.

One for me and one for my wife, Morgan Fairchild, yeah.... whom I have slept with.... That's the ticket...

Considering the name of that Gunbroker listing is "temp unavailable out of stock", I assume that seller is simply using that listing as a placeholder until a distributor gets more in stock to avoid having to create a whole new listing.

They set the price to a ridiculous number to ensure that nobody attempts to buy it in the meantime and close out that listing.

They'll then edit the title and price again when/if more are available for sale.

I don't see any currently available from any distributors. So unless Sig is planning another run of them, you likely have missed your shot at buying this limited edition new. Time to start looking on the secondary/used market.

MSRP was $2699.

Unless that is a "everything you ever wanted" pistol, get a German P226S. There are several different variants and a few are very close to the American Reserve withoug the fancy finish. I would bet good money the German version would outshoot the American one all day.

The "Reserve"? Sounds more like a fancy cheese or bottle of wine. It also seems like the uglier it gets, the higher the price.

The German guns are nicer, but the American version is no slouch. The comp also gives it an advantage over the Mastershop guns.

This is EXACTLY what this seller is doing. It allows the seller to hold open this auction which has all of his previous ad loaded so that when he gets stock, he changes the description to “In Stock” and also changes the price. This escalated price ensures no one bids or tries to purchase an Out of Stock item. This is happening a lot more on GB now that there are “listing fees” for every new listing as well as final value and connivence fees.

Well we’re all entitled to an opinion and it’s my opinion that gun in person is absolutely beautiful.

It’s also possibly the best shooting American made non-2011/1911 on the market.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If I were still collecting, I would have bought one, when it first came out. I've never seen one in person, but if it's anything like the high polish DLC of the German P210 Midnight series, you would be in awe. The German P226 X5 and X6 Midnight series are also high polish, but their quality is a tad below that of the P210.

The price is so high to save oneself from buying that fugly ass gun! Looks like CZ and Captain Kirk came up with the design...

All good by me. Guns like this aren’t for everyone and were never supposed to be.

It’s very impressive. That being said, I never compared one back to back with a German Midnight series

Lots of people just like to bash every gun that costs over $2500 or so. Kind of humorous

I own one and it really is a very nice pistol, and IMHO well worth the coinage. YMMV
