I can imagine that marketing advertising meeting:

Five guys passing around a joint.

"How can we make a 9mm huge?" One says

"But maintain a limited capacity?" Another interjects.

"All while sticking to our proven ass-ugly design?" One reminds.

"But not with any decrease in our ridiculous pricing?" Another says.

"By Jove, I've got it!" the last one declares, swiftly unveiling his artists conception. "I give you, the most ass ugly, over-priced, low capacity, over-sized 9mm compact known to man!"

Ye gods. Are they selling enough of those overpriced things to stay in buisness or are they still relying on the cowboy action market?

Ugly as sin.

I do have and carry a 2” Black Rhino in 357/38. Outstanding DA, smooth, and the barrel on the bottom works highly effectively. 357mag feels like 38 out of it and 38 feels like .22. My lgs has had a rental version for many years and it has been indestructible. This is my 2nd one as I stupidly sold off my first. For my needs it’s the best thing out there in a small revolver, it’s light, but not as small a j. It’s light due to being aluminum, and the bottom barrel is highly effective at recoil mitigation. I do read and hear shit being talked on it all the time, but it doesn’t bother me much because at the range the damn thing is excellent. Love mine a lot, only revolver I want. I don’t give a damn how it looks or any firearm looks (looks fine to me though) as how it shoots is all that matters.
It is a wonderful design but why someone at Chiappa would finish this version this way escapes me. As bad as Sig making rainbow and diamond plate finishes. And no way would I take a 9mm version over a 357/38.
