https://www.instagram.com/tv/C...gshid=MDJmNzVkMjY%3D I saw this video on another forum and thought I'd put it here. I purchased a used P226 SAO Legion not too long ago. I don't have as much experience with Sig as I do other designs from other manufacturers, so please let me know if this is something I should be concerned about or if I should be working on getting fixed. The safety lever on my P226 moves up when pressing the hammer back as far as it will go. While I'm starting a new thread here, I may as well as another question that I've had in that is it normal for the right-side safety lever to be "loose", in that it has some wiggle while the left-side seems more solid?

I'm not an expert on guns. But I just checked my two P226 SAO Legions. The LE model doesn't do that while the regular model does. However, I don't see how firing the gun will make the hammer bounce back to where it will do what the guy is saying. The hammer is under tension to go forward and the slide going back cocks it. It's not like the slide going back is going to make the hammer dribble down. The slide is going to maintain contact with the hammer until it's cocked. To make the hammer go back as far as it will go requires the hammer losing contact with the slide that's pulling it back. But maybe someone more knowledgeable can correct me. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Thank you for the response. I guess my main questions here are: 1. Is this normal? 2. Will this cause issues later on? 3. Could this be the reason why my right-side safety lever is "loose" compared to the left-side lever, and is that normal? 4. Should I buy what this guy is selling?

If Robert The SIG Armorer says it’s a problem I’d take him at his word. He’s a knowledgeable gunsmith that I don’t think is just trying to sell his product. "Clear Eyes. Full Hearts. Can't Lose."

The “loose right safety lever” effect is commonly seen on P238 and P938 ambidextrous models. I don’t know about ordinary SAO P226 models but both safety levers of my SAO P226 X5 Competition are solid with no wiggle in either position. Serious about crackers

I'm probably going to be visiting my local gunsmith to have him take a look at it. I watched a full disassembly/reassembly video on the SAO P-series models and it seems like both levers are connected to each other with a screw. I'd imagine that a hammer strut somehow impacting the safety lever could make it come loose over time, but I'm going to pass this information along to the gunsmith to see what he thinks. I tried looking through Robert Burke's website to see if just the "super strut" was for sale, and I don't see it anywhere other than an option to be added to a trigger work package. I'll try to get in contact with him to see if this part is sold separately. Thanks for the responses. I purchased a holster and some extra Mec-Gar mags for this pistol because I like the way it shoots. Any other comments or thoughts are welcome.

Here is my question... what is the real problem? I just checked mine, P226 SAO Legion and yes with the hammer cocked and the safety off/down if you push the hammer down the safety wiggles.... but it does not do anything other than wiggle... and it does not wiggle if the safety is on.... I guess what he is saying is after 500+ rounds the safety will be loose? My Native American Name: "Runs with Scissors"
