There's just something about a six gun.

My other single actions are Ubertis and are extremely well made, but I wanted a real Colt.

I want what they used yesteryear in the late 19th century, early 20th century. Even General Patton had one.

I made a swap and picked up this 1985 third gen. I'd love to have a nitro grade first, but this will just have to do. Soon as I get some faux ivory, it will be close to the General's. However, I ain't going to have it engraved.

A Colt with my 1910 Ball official railroad.

Guess where I'm headed.

That is a real beauty. I am like you, I own a Uberti Cattleman, and a Cimmaron SA. They are well made, and good shooters, but just aren't Colt SAA. Enjoy your new Colt.

My other conversion guns in their rig.

3:10 to Yuma featured a conversion gun carried by Dan.

COLT SAA's are from an era gone by... Or at least TV gone by ...

I was fortunate enough to acquire a few Colt SAA's over the years.

Thinking about getting some leather for one of the new ones P1870 for when I go to the range. One of the leather makers in Texas has a 15% discount until the 31st. Deciding on lined or unlined holster. I believe unlined is probably period correct, along with either the Slim Jim or the Mexican loop.

I hate to waste money - could easily just use the carry case - but I have watched too many .....
Gunsmoke
The Lone Ranger
Have Gun will Travel
Cicso Kid
Bonanza
Roy Rogers Show
The Wild Wild West
The Big Valley
Wagon Train
Rifleman
Rawhide
Rin Tin Tin

Did I mention GunSmoke!

..... not to get leather for the SAA.

The 7 1/2" barrel length is my preference!
