As you might figure out I was a Luger collector. As such I have a few in .30 Luger. I like the round and wanted to have it in another gun. However anything that is chambered in this cal is big $$. So I bought a Barsto barrel for it, a little fitting and it shoots fine.

Cool!

I've been shooting a lot of 7.65mm as of late and recently converted a Gen2 Glock to make the ammo disappear more quickly. Got a few 7.65mm Sigs too:

The conversion was a lot easier than making a Glock run on .38 Super. Big Grin

I did have some issues with it chambering at first. The chamber was cut very tight and would only take factory ammo. I hand load so that would not do. Sent the barrel back with some sized cases and he cut it a hair deeper. All better now. Unfortunately I only have one box of 90gr .309 bullets left. Hopefully wen this ammo supply catches up I will be a able to get more.

Most of the time I ask for the ammo and get boxes of .32s

It makes for a nice round of target practice.

There is the added bonus that nobody runs off with your brass.

Now there’s a real neat idea! How long did you wait on the BarSto? Was it a one off, or a catalog offering?

Standard chambering for G17 and 19. only wait at the time was shipping time.

As stated above your post, Glock 17 and 19. So 9mm as the 9mm is a blown out .30 Luger.

So .30 Luger was the prototype for the .357 Sig!

No

The 7.65x21mm, also known as the .30 Luger is a lineal descendant of the 7.65×25mm Borchardt cartridge, which was the basis for the 7.62x25mm Tokarev and the 7.63x25mm Mauser cartridges as well.

The basis for the 357 SIG is of course the .40 S&W cartridge.
