My son bought me a Model 29, 6 1/2 blued. Perfect match for my 27. 44 mag is about the only handgun caliber I haven't owned. I have a couple of 45 Colt. Got two boxes of magnums and two 44 special, (SGAmmo is great) I'll try the Specials first to see how my arthritis and bad wrists handle it.
Best present I've ever received! Life is good!

Congratulations, I found a used Model 29-2 several years back in the trade in case, also a 686 no dash when folks were trading in everything to get an AR at the time.

It's one of my "make my day" guns

Congrats, but you know the rules-pics or it didn't happen. Wink

I am looking to get one myself. The first gun I was able to buy was a S&W 629 w/ 8 3/8" barrel. It was a big gun but a lot of fun to shoot.

So true, Months ago was telling him I wanted the "Dirty Harry" Revolver. He was taking notes on his phone.
Before it arrived he turned 30 and I told him I'll take you to the gun shop and buy you any handgun you want,
Price be damned. High end 1911 or Sig.
I think of the movie Troy, The King said "A Father has never had a better son"
I'm blessed.

Oh, What the hell, he will get them all in the end anyway!!

Congratulations and Happy Birthday!

As a related aside, a member on another forum recently had a Dirty Harry shoulder holster setup for sale - can email you directly if you have any interest in something like that. Not my item and I’ve no connection to the sale / seller, but your mention of our favorite SFPD Inspector reminded me of having seen the ad for it.
