I know you photo whores are suckers for 1911 threads. I've got a two-tone Ruger LW and a stainless Colt Wiley Clapp....I think I need a blackened/blued Commander. And I'll be done. No more. Honest. Suggestions? _______________________________ The artist formerly known as AllenInWV

Something like this one? Royal Blue with African Elephany Ivory stocks This one is not exactly blue or even black. The dark unpolished portions of the pistil nicely ofset the semi polished sections of the stainless construction How do you feel about a Two Tone or even a reverse Two Tone? Lastly there is this one that is finiished in Kimber's "KimPro" finish This Les Baer Concept VII is finished in ble and wearing smooth amboyna burl grips ------------------------------------------------------------------ NRA Benefactor . . . SAA, that royal blue commander is beautiful. "I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . The most beautiful black commander I think is the Ed Brown Kobra carry.

My vote! I've had many different brands of Commanders. The Baers are high on the list but the DW Valor to me is fantastic!

I’d vote Dan Wesson Valor Commander or Colt Wiley Clapp Commander...or, those Baers pictured! "The sea was angry that day, my friends - like an old man trying to send back soup in a deli." - George Costanza

My Nighthawk Custom GRPII (Commander Length .45 ACP) was the last duty weapon I carried as a LEO when I retired ten years ago. Its all steel, but I still carry it frequently.
