aparocheWhat is the best carry optic? Opinions Wanted!
I have an Sig P365XL and I am curious on what everyone thinks is the best carry optic. I have been looking at the following models…
Holosun EPS Carry MRS
Holosun 507K X2
Trijicon RCR
Opinions?

92fstechI've only handled one, never shot or carried it yet, so take that for what it's worth, but if I was looking for a carry optic for a P365 right now I'd probably get the RomeoX Compact Enclosed. It seems well made, I like the buttonology, their location, and construction, and the low deck height let's you co-witness with standard sights.
The EPS carry would be my second choice.

bfm1851Holosun is a good choice. I've got a 407K-gr on my 365xl and a Holosun SCS carry on my P229

Pete KOf the 3 listed, I only have experience with the 507K. Been running it on my weekend competition gun as well as my daily carry for over three years. They both work well with no issues.

AnubismpOf those options, I like the EPS carry for my stuff. Sig makes an enclosed microdot, but I'm not sure about its durability. If you want another option, you could wait and see if they release the COA A cut in the 365 when a year is up, but you'd lose the reticle, which some like.

MikeGLII just recently got out of an RMRcc and in to a Holosun EPS carry, which I really enjoy comparatively.

YooperSigsDepends largely on your budget. Holosun seems to me to be the best bang for the buck.

CPD SIGI don’t think there’s a “best”.
Some are better in some aspects than others.
I have a Trijicon on my G-34 with the green triangle, it works for that gun.
There’s a Holosun on my G-43x, it’s perfect for what I need.
I like the dual power / solar charging options on the newer ones.
The multiple reticle choices- between me and my friends that own them, we don’t spend time flipping through the options. We found which one we like, and haven’t changed it. I and others like the dot & circle, a few like just the dot, some like just the circle. However, no one is really switching between the recticals.
Battery life seems to be about even between the top manufacturers. Durability is about the same as well.
(I will personally vouch for the durability of the Holosuns! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve accidentally dropped my G-43x! Damn thing just keeps going and going!)

sig 226Can't speak to the others but I have an RCR.
It's mounted on a G17.5 MOS w/ an Forward control plate. Window wise it's basically an RMR type 2 but enclosed. The installation is sort of odd, but I used VC3 on the threads and witness marked it. After 400 rounds it hasn't walked back at all.
All said, I prefer the enclosed optics over open emitters.

aparocheThanks for all the responses. I ended up going with the Holosun EPS Carry MRS 2 MOA red reticle with the battery and solar power backup. I looked at the Holosun SCS Carry (solar powered only) but unfortunately they don’t sell a red reticle model, only green. Primary Arms had a 12% off coupon that was too good to pass up, which basically covered the tax and shipping. Came out to $398.12 after tax and shipping.

After looking into it, my guess would be because it is $100 dollars more than Holosun’s equivalent models.

MWCHolosun SCS Carry. Solar charging, auto-adjusting, multi-reticle with the RMSc footprint. I have one on my 365XL slide and am very happy with it.

Abn556I have a 507 on my G19 and my P365XL. Those are the only two that I regularly carry that have optics. I still carry the old P365 from time to time as well.

Mine shit the bed in under 100 rounds. The auto-on/shake awake feature stopped working. No more SIG optics for me.

Same here. I have had consistently bad luck with Sig optics from the Romeo1 to present.
