Raised Hands Surround Us Three Nails To Protect Us |
Always wanted a Trailside never enough to really go searching for one and when they did present themself it either cost way too much or just did not want to spend the money. Ran into one today blue box, all the paperwork, chamber flag, two mags, and test target. Would have preferred the longer barrel but no biggie. Only bummer, if one at all really, is someone decided to drill and tap it to mount a cheap red dot. Couple of filler screws and it is not too bad. Not quite sure why they did that as I am pretty sure there are a number of mounts for these guns. Need to look into that a bit more. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand. You should know I'll be there for you!

Nice score! "But, as luck would have it, he stood up. He caught that chunk of lead." Gunnery Sergeant Carlos Hathcock "If there's one thing this last week has taught me, it's better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it." Clarence Worley

Left-Handed, NOT Left-Winged! |
The top of the barrel is a 1/4" dovetail (well, not quite but) that you can clamp rings to for a tube red dot sight. If you do that you can cover up the drill-tap holes.

That's not a cheap sight, it was the second best one made at the time! (there were only two lol) It's better to not have it reciprocating on the slide, especially at the time, even the Dr. sights people would send out to be "ruggedized" didn't fare well doing that.

I'm pretty sure you bought that at the store where I work. Next time you come in, ask for Frank. I'd like to meet you. Or, perhaps I already have!

Nice score! Those screw holes plugged up just fine, and shouldn't affect the way it shoots in the least. Looking forward to a range report!
