For those who own one and have a lot of rounds, more than several thousand or at least a thousand through the Kel-Tec CP33, is it reliable or a Jam-A-Matic? I saw a good review on the Military Arms Channel by Tim and his worked well until he suppressed it. The firearm is selling for a premium price so I want to be sure I am not buying Mattel toy for $450. Thank you and have a nice day. PS: I love shooting 22 LR's and have 7 handguns in this caliber. I am always looking for something new. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Democracy is 2 Wolves & a Lamb debating the lunch menu. Didn't these just come out? May be a stretch for some to have over 1k through it. Also, I saw them at GrabAGun for <$300. The Enemy's gate is down.

Currently Grab-A-Gun has them for $469 to $499. CDNN has them for $449. I shoot a lot and with 33 round magazines it is not hard to shoot more than 1K through a new pistol. I always shoot new guns a lot when I first get them. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Democracy is 2 Wolves & a Lamb debating the lunch menu. My PMR-30 mags hold 30 rounds, and I have three mags, in one range session I can drop 90 rounds so getting to 1K isn't more than 11 sessions PMR shoots 22wmr, and has a bit of a jamming rep, the issue is the magazines and how you load them, there is a specific method and you have to follow it, don't and it's jam city. As to the CP33, it's an interesting offering, but like everything popular from Kel-Tec they are made of unobtainium, Haven't see one in the wild yet, been looking for the P17, same problem, hibernating in the Markup dealers hands. If you can wait until the current unpleasantness backs down and then look, you'll see the prices drop and supply come up. That's my strategy for the P17

Yeah, FWIW, they're mostly $450-$500 on ChodeChoker. How expensive are the magazines?

I have one and it is a lot of fun. I have about 500 rounds through it is all. You will need the speed loader from Kel Tec. It will correctly load magazines a lot faster and help detect crappy Rounds while loading. I will say it again, you need the speed loader. Do not expect bulk ammo to even load correctly into the magazines. They are very particular and will not tolerate junk ammo. Plan on using CCI and other quality ammo, no Remington Golden Bullet bulk. MSRP is $199, they are all over GB for $240 starting price, it's not a lot, $240, but it's 20% mark up, plus shipping, plus FFL fees. Typical though of the hot Kel-Tec stuff, low volume, higher prices, the PMR was hot at one time...
