P239 sas
Is there any difference in the older P239 in .40 and the newer 239 SAS in .40 as far as dropping in a .357 barrel for the SAS? I figure they would be the same but jut making sure.

I think it's the same, But as I recall, the barrel may need to be fitted. I've got one in .40 and have a Barstow barrel for it and it had to be fitted.

The SIG barrels may be drop-in.

Evil exists. You can not negotiate with, bribe or placate evil. You're not going to be able to have it sit down with Dr. Phil for an anger management session either.

Thanks. I had a Sig barrel for my old 239 that just dropped in without needing anything else. I may have a problem finding a sig barrel for it though.

Should be no difference. SAS is just smoothing out the edges.

Even a factory 9 barrel will fit and function in the 40/357 version (P239).

Excam_Man,

Great post, thank you! I have an older two tone P239SAS and a P229 both in 357Sig. I'm considering getting them both a Sig barrel and magazines in 9mm to make using them less costly. I love the 357Sig round but the price of ammo is certainly a consideration.

Thanks guys. I'm going to pick one up if possible. I've been doing some looking and getting the barrel looks to be difficult.
