I ran into a nice P229 S4 series pistol a few years back and have not seen any others since then. Anyone seen any of these before? Those who forget history are destined to repeat it.

Had to Google it to see what it is. Never knew Sig made a model with the threaded barrel plus suppressor height sights. I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not.

I have a P220 S4, its my only .45. I made a trade with a friend to get it. I love it, never see any of them. It has the factory lanyard loop on it. One day I will get a can for it. HK Ag

Had a P226 S4. Nice Sig, was special in the day due to the threaded barrel. But if I remember correctly, there was something different about the threads on the S4 series, vs standard Sig threaded barrels. Either way, wasn't really special to me, and you can buy a threaded barrel for any Sig now, got rid of it a while back.

My local dealer has one that has been in the sales case for almost 15 years. He seems to think someone will eventually buy it some day at his insane asking price of $1500. It is nothing special other than coming with raised suppressor sights and threaded barrels which was a first for sig if I recall correctly.

So far what I have found out is that there were only 300 of each model made. P220, P226, and P229. As far as the barrel (at least on mine its threaded 1/2x28 as opposed to the metric left handed thread. If its true (the 300 amount) at least to me that would make it pretty limited so price/value should be rather nice. This message has been edited.
