I've got a 226 that I replaced the trigger and strut with Bruce Gray parts and then I added his short reset kit. It's a VERY nice trigger. I can only imagine that it would be even nicer if it came out of his shop, but as is it is every bit as nice as my LTT Beretta with the TJIB installed. Maybe a hair heavier, but every bit as clean and with very short takeup and almost no perceptible overtravel. The shape of his trigger also really improves the feel. I'm a curved trigger guy and I absolutely love the way he shapes not just the trigger itself, but aslo the trigger face. It just feels "right" to me.

The only drawback is with the Grayguns SRT I have to drop the hammer to get the slide off, which I don't have to do with the Sig SRT I have on a 220. The reset is much cleaner than on the SIG part and I'm perfectly OK with such a minor issue.

I was honestly surprised that the strut made as much of a difference as it did. It's like that Bruce Gray guy knows what he's talking about or something... (He does, and I've bought a bunch of parts from him over the years because of it.)

inferior copies of stock parts

stock parts resold as upgrades

unfinished, fugly components

parts which purport to "fix" problems which do not exist

"Quality" is a term that is both frequently used and criminally abused.

That's why I had Robert Burke do my triggers for me. I'm very happy with the results.
Hey, asshole, cool it. You mind your manners or leave.

My Wilson Combat 92’s are incredible. My sig Legion 226 was worked by Rick Holm and it’s fantastic. But honestly my CZ Shadow 2 has best DA/SA of any pistol I ever shot. It’s that good.

I've never heard anything but great things about Bruce Gray and that includes my conversations with Robert Burke.

I have no experience with Rick Holm, but I've heard great things. I was thinking about sending him a USP.

A man wants to come in here and compliment a gunsmith, fine, but don't do it by insulting another gunsmith and a friend of the forum to boot, and making it egregious by doing so with his first post.

That's uncalled for, and this kind of behavior will not be tolerated here.

Honestly, the backhanded manner it was done aside, I'm glad the thread was bumped so I could read through it. I installed Langdon trigger bars and hammer springs in a couple of my Beretta 92's and the difference was so amazing I've been wanting to do the same with my P226. I know Bruce makes some drop-in parts, but it was edifying to read feedback on them probably being what I'm looking for after all, in terms of bringing it more up to par with my Berettas.

In my limited experience, the Grayguns strut system is 85-90% of the improvement. I have installed them in several of my guns, and they took a gritty, somewhat stacky trigger pull to a smooth and consistent pull all the way through. I would put the smoothness and consistency on par with my LTT Enhanced Trigger Bar Equipped Beretta, but it retains the geometry of the Sig trigger pull, which I prefer to the Beretta. The quality of the part itself is superb...perfectly machined and polished, with no flashing or rough edges anywhere.

Grayguns includes two springs, a 19lb and a 17lb with their kit. I always use the heavier one just for a little extra insurance in primer ignition, but the lighter spring makes the pull even better.

I have a Grayguns trigger shoe in a P226 as well as the FAT guide rod. Both of those are as equally well constructed and finished as the strut system, and both offer some improvement, but it's not as drastic an improvement as provided by the strut.

I'd like to try their hammer, but I wish Grayguns made one with their geometry and attention to detail that had a factory-style hammer spur. I'm not a big fan of the commander-style ring.

Earlier this year I bought the GGI SRT for my P2000 along with their flat trigger. The customer service that I received from Bruce's team to help me after my screw-up with HKpParts was unbelievable, and more than I could hope for. Not surprisingly, the parts I received matched their customer service.
